Hello I have 2x Seagate IronWolf 8TB in Raid 0 (mb raid). I7 920 12Gb Ddr3 I made a .bat for wplotgenerator. Like this : wplotgenerator <account ID> 0 58593750 12288 8 /async But I get only 5379 nonces/min is it normal ? It will take soooo long. Is there something wrong ? It will be around 12h of plotting and i am only at 1%. Someone can help me please ? I have had the plotter running for 24 hour now on 3.5 tb seagate . . . unsure if it will ever finish! We plotted a 3TB seagate drive a few weeks ago which took just over 3 days using the CPU and was around 5400 nonces/min so you can expect around the same time for your plotted drive to be complete. It could be 4 days for you as you have an extra 500GB to plot. We are currently plotting a 5TB seagate drive so I'm not expecting this to be finished for a week or so.

So I have not read extensively on burst,
Can anyone tell me if burst mining is worth getting into as of today?
A large portion of the PoC rewards have already been mined. That said: yes, it is for sure worth mining today, as Burst mining requires trivial amounts of electricity. Feel free to join us at https://forums.burst-team.us if you have more detailed questions about Burst mining. Currently plotting 3.5 TB for burst, any recommendations? I recommend Blago's XPlotter for plotting. It creates optimized plots in one go (back in the day, generating plots and then "optimizing" them was a 2-step, sequential process). I also use his miner for my 40tb, and works well for me. Also, look for a pool that doesn't have a maximum deadline if 3.5 tb is your total space. I currently have the plotter built into the wallet working, would you say to continue with this or to cancel and move to blago's xplotter and again would the miner utilized in the standard wallet be effective or also worth switching to his miner? What does your 40tb setup consist of and could you link me to your workers? If you mean the Windows wallet from "daWallet", then you're in luck because XPlotter is the plotter used in that wallet. For mining, I think the windows wallet uses jminer, which is another good choice. If you're happy with it, then I'd suggest to keep using it. Take a look at the workers at http://burst.ninja/. Not much info you can learn from looking at "workers". Burst mining in general is pretty straight-forward though: plot, then mine. There's very little you can do to in terms of configuring or tweaking to get better results (like in typical gpu mining).

I'd be careful depending too much on info coming from burstnation. "Official" is a self-appointed term by the mods over there. That forum is heavily moderated (bans are issued quickly if mods don't like what you say, especially for talking about assets they don't manage). The first Burst forum, https://forums.burst-team.us, is censorship-free, with tons of people willing to help. To be honest with you that is the only information I trust coming from Burst Nation as on the other forum the mods there lie about a lot of things and try and stir up trouble in the Burst community. Also the guys over at Burst Nation seem to be the only ones doing all the hard work at making Burst what it is today. Just look what one of the coders has done with the new wallet and plus all the PR that Burst Nation is putting out there. You say there are tons of people willing to help over at the Burst team forum but when I go there it's like a ghost town with not much action at all. Burst Nation might be heavily moderated when it comes to assets and there is a good reason for that as they are looking out for the Burst community when it comes to investing in assets unlike over at the other forum where they allowed a minor under the age of 18 to own and run an asset with thousands of dollars from people that invested in the asset not knowing that it was a child running it and they verified this child to allow him to run the asset. So that is why over at Burst Nation they are strict on assets. I'm not here to start any arguments as I'm just stating the facts. Fair enough! I agree, that was quite an oversight in that particular case. But that's not quite what I meant when it came to asset moderation. IMO, that's a good excuse Adam uses to keep Burst flowing into his assets and the only casino he allows mention of, regardless of the efforts from the wider community. The PR work is excellent, I just wish it wasn't towards a subset of the community, with open hostilities towards the rest. Before Adam came along, I feel like the community in general was less tense and more united. Still, you gotta love the greater attention Burst is getting! Cheers vella85!

If you have pretty much any gpu within the last couple generations, you'll likely get faster plot times from the gpu plotter. It's worth noting too, that plotting is pretty much the only resource intensive task associated with Burst mining. It's a 1 off, but it's a heavy task, so you need to be patient!

Plotting with CPU how long on average should 3.5tb take? How can I ensure there is no error and I am just not running the plotter with no results in sight The built in plotter only allowed CPU use?

Plotting with CPU how long on average should 3.5tb take? How can I ensure there is no error and I am just not running the plotter with no results in sight The built in plotter only allowed CPU use? Really depends on your cpu. I overclocked my 5930k, and can get ~19k nonces/min with all 12 threads. Most will be closer to 5-10k range though. I've never tried the built-in plotter, so I have no clue what kind of stats the wallet will show in regards to its plotting. Once its done though, you should have a file like "AccountNum_startNonce_123_123". I dunno if there is a way to tell if it went bad, other than seeing some error it should show during mining if the plots were somehow corrupted. Someone might know more in the forums though: https://forums.burst-team.us

No problem mate, I will say that I have seen other assets listed on Burst Nation and they are not all Adams assets. I think it all comes down to who people can trust more and for me that is the dev team over at Burst Nation. And in my opinion they are doing more for Burst then ever before with wallets working all the time and now with the PR plus many other things. This is just my opinion and people are free to listen and join any of the Burst communities.

Hey guys the Burst blockchain is too large for my "C" drive and I wanna move it to the other drive. Is there a command or an option to do this (Like running QT wallet with "-datadir+..." command)?

Yes, you can edit your default conf file. My memory is hazy and I have no access to a BURST enabled PC now. However, the path to the DB should be somewhere in conf/nxt-default.properties under database section. Edit the path there and move the DB folder to the new path. Should work without problems.

how did you lost btc ? I would also like to know how he possibly lost BTC with Burst. As anyone who got in last year is well in profit. I know Burst went to 300 sats late last year but back then BTC was a lot lower then it is now and Burst has been around the same price in USD for a long while now so I can't see how anyone lost any money in Burst. This coin is more of a long term coin but people can make money trading it short term.

Yes! This is great to see as more and more people will start to hear about Burst. The PR campaigns are now starting to take effect and before we know it the price will start to reflect that. I picked up some Burst Nation radio assets as these are going to be huge in the future and are a great long term asset.

How-To Burst off an SD card. Usually a sd card is formatted in fat/fat32/exfat. Well, here are instructions to make an sd card ntfs to be ready for plotting to mine burstcoin with on a PC/Laptop with windows. Happy Bursting! Windows7-8-8.1-10. 1) Insert sd card 2) Open cmd through Run. 3) Type in diskpart 4) Type list disk 5) Type select disk 0,1,2,3 what ever number the sd card is. Example: select disk 3. Press enter. Disk 3 is now selected. 6) Type clean 7) Type create partition primary align=1024 Type format quick fs=ntfs 9) Exit 9.1) Device Manager/Disk Drives/Properties of the sd drive/policies select performance. 10) Open Burstcoin client, click write plot 11) Select the USB sd card you just created ntfs with and plot! I believe all above done is correctly you will be burstcoin mining off of sd cards. If this helped, please donate. BURST-W7HD-8VVV-X6L3-4EYLJ
