Its better not responding to this kind of reaction. It's unfortunate but in the crypto world competitors go sometimes fight each other in another thread. It is not the first, and may also not be the last. Sometimes people do not take the time to read the originel thread. Quote # 1 This communitty is too strong for this. The unique Magicoin certainly. i agree but im kinda qrious so i wanted him to spell out what he is saying so he will give time to read about this thread ^^, from someone stating __ is the next bitcoin XC is next bitcoin...it is lightyears ahead of any other coin with tech..and when I say this is shitcoin I really mean it. What would you called coin that 80% of people don't know how to mine it ? ...so it will be instamined to the balls by a few individuals. go back on XC thread if you want to promote XC, we have nothing against that coin; and we dont like to have any misunderstanding with other coin as well pls don't step this low promoting a nice coin; and besides read the thread again, am sure ull realize ur assumption bout instamine is a mistake...

A rich list (if possible at this time) would be a great tool for information how the XMG are currently being distributed among miners/wallets. I am beginning to feel like I am mining XMG against better judgment, as mining for 14 hours with 2 machines only results in afew coins. If some smart ass is collecting all the coins, that would more easily become visible with a rich list.

That would require a blockchain explorer.

The launch went well, but there are improvements on the way. When you first start using something new, it's always a little harder. Soon there will be more information about the goals that XMG wants to achieve.
Good launch? - algo changed only to make coin cpu-only, so botnet friendly. No pools - again botnet friendly I know few coins that started this way and usually some inside people were mining with pre-configured HW or botnets. A month of testing and no pools at launch - that is suspicious.

will qoute this for the dev to take notice A rich list (if possible at this time) would be a great tool for information how the XMG are currently being distributed among miners/wallets.
That would require a blockchain explorer. i think dev will work on that soon

+1 i like the idea That's a good idea. As the developer and the community have been transparent this fits in perfectly in.

Good launch? - algo changed only to make coin cpu-only, so botnet friendly. A month of testing and no pools at launch - that is suspicious. pool and stratum is ready - but no (stratum) miner yet Managed to get 1 accepted and 1 rejected on your pool! lol.. with which miner ? With the standard miner released at launch. It seems that for nearly every accepted share the next is rejected with "share above target". I'm using a stratum proxy but I don't think that it is designed for this algo. I believe this algo is similar to cryptonight? If so, the stratum protocol for that algo is different from normal. I found this statement: The rpc2_* functions does not just use JSON-RPC 2.0 instead of 1.0, they also uses different method names with different parameters from the "real" stratum protocol.
For example, exchanges between the proxy and a "real" stratum pool (sha-256, scrypt, x11, x13...) are:
Proxy Pool mining.subscribe -------> <-------- mining.subscribe response mining.authorize -------> <-------- mining.authorize response <-------- set_difficulty notification <-------- mining.notify notification mining.submit --------> <-------- mining.submit response mining.submit --------> <-------- mining.submit response <-------- mining.notify notification mining.submit --------> <-------- mining.submit response mining.submit --------> <-------- mining.submit response <-------- set_difficulty notification <-------- mining.notify notification
With a cryptonight pool, it should be like that (If you could provide me a protocol dump of a real mining session to confirm):
Proxy Pool login -------> <-------- login response getjob -------> <-------- getjob response submit --------> <-------- submit response submit --------> <-------- submit response getjob -------> <-------- getjob response submit --------> <-------- submit response
You can see that methods are not the same (and parameters are not the same at all). Even the flow control is not the same at all, thus I cannot integrate this properly in the proxy.
Don't know if this is correct or not as i don't know anything about programming!
