I applaud your efforts. However, they will just move to another pool that has no limit. It's like trying to kill an elephant with a bb gun.
Thanks, Thats true. If no one does anything then it definately will be wrong. Therefore is our philosofy that we at least is doing it. And there will be a much more fair sharing of the mining rewards in TrasMaMod XMG pool. So I do recommend all other pool owners to also do something equal as this to help to create a fair and good / strong coin. So spread the word, let the whole community hear us, and something will be done.

Don't want to be the pesimistic guy, but it is almost impossible to limit hash rate either by pools or by nodes. I mean, what can you use? Address? Nothing avoids the lauch of a bunch of 1-threaded "slow" miners with different addresses. IP? You can launch as many VPN/tor instances as you want to mine from different IPs. Not to mention if its botnets who are mining. If you have the skills to run a botnet or to launch lots of miners, you also have the skills to make it hardly noticeable. So, what's left? The good will of the miners and probably not much more. And relaying in good will these days looks like a little bit naive, IMHO.

I always thought staking reward comes from a block which is mined. (also with fees) When I look at mine staking results and the statistics of the pools I can't find these blocks in the pool. Are blocks for staking different blocks as for mining? Yes, staked blocks and PoW-mined blocks are different. Those are two separate kinds of block-finding. If a block is generated by staking, you won't find them in any pool.

Are blocks for staking different blocks as for mining?
From my understanding, staking is creating new blocks as is mining - (at least it is with other coins), so unless Magi is doing something special, staking is creating new blocks.

I'd mention that the release just posted is a temporary solution to keep the chain and mining going, not a FIX. We'll make efforts on the 2nd step of getting a fix ASAP.
For this reason, I recommend do not ask exchanges to bring up the wallet, and when possible place least tickets regarding the issues. We apologize for the trouble. What I'm saying is that we'd be aware of minimizing exchanges' efforts on this incident, or we end up a high probability of worse situation.
At this point, again I recommend keeping exchange wallet in maintenance mode until a final FIX is out.

Just in Time, I just wanted to make a support ticket at Bittrex. No problem, staking is okay, isn't?

How much you earn by staking?
between 3 - 4 % a year. 10.000 coins in your wallet gives 1 XMG every day by staking.

Have changed pool from NOMP to MPOS... as people didn't like NOMP's look. Shares and blocks will be paid out as they're still accepted. If people want, it's changed to http://h2701744.stratoserver.net/Will need to setup rest, but will be done once chain is up. Once again, feel free to use, but no hard guarantees mining will work at this point due to chain issues. Edward Nice work man! I'd be interested in using your pool. Won't mine until we get more information from dev. Have decided to move it back to NOMP, and adjust layout to show work done by miner etc. link is still: http://h2701744.stratoserver.net:85Pool is up and running on main chain as per Joe's posts. Feel free to use, and allow some time to adjust layout. Thanks, Edward Thanks for setting the pool back up. Is there a way for you to display when the last block was found and the payout for the block? It seems like it doesn't display some basic information. I don't know what nomp capabilities are but it would be nice to be able to go to my wallet on there for stats

Also, I seem to be having issues solo mining. I believe everything is set up correctly in my .conf file, however whenever I try to run m-minerd I'm given this error message: "HTTP request failed: Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 8232: Connection refused" followed in the next line by: json_rpc_call request failed, retry after 30 seconds what do I need to do here to be able to solo mine? Is this something stupid I've missed? Or perhaps a windows issue? m-minerd .bat looks like so: m-minerd --url http://127.0.0.1:8232/ --user user --pass x -t 6 -e 95 It looks like that either your wallet or daemon is not running, your rpcport is not 8232 in .conf file or you are trying to mine from another computer...? it could be that! I have my wallet on my NAS currently, will try moving the miner to the NAS/wallet to main machine still no luck with the solo mining. Tried moving the wallet to the main desktop off of the NAS and still the same issue. .conf looks like so: rpcuser=rpcuser rpcpassword=rpcpass rpcport=8232 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 listen=0 connect=104.128.225.215 daemon=1 server=1 rpcport=8232 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcuser=user rpcpassword=x An obvious problem I see is that you have rpcuser and rpcpassword in the conf file twice. Remove one of those entries. or change it to m-minerd --url http://127.0.0.1:8232/ --user rpcuser --pass rpcpass -t 6 -e 95
