Hi,

Is there no Linux wallet available? I'm running OpenSuSE 13.2 and I would like to run a wallet to store my Fibre coins, so I can get some interest.

Hey,

You can compile a wallet, files are available here https://github.com/fibre-team/fibre

is it too late to join this great coin?  Cool Roll Eyes Grin

Actually working......

We are in the process of completing our biggest delivery to date, fully decentralised transaction privacy. Developed from the ground up.

I would not usually waste my time replying to messages like this, but posts of this kind have far reaching consequences if I do not respond.

If anyone ever needs to get hold of me, just send me a PM or ask one of the team.

The board and the Fibre team have instant access to me at all times. If we are going to turn Fibre into one of the top alt coins, I'm going to have to concentrate on development rather than being community facing.

Killa

Librexcoin (LXC) appears to be a direct contender for Fibre. Besides also being multi-algo (X11), PoW-PoS, no-premine and no-IPO, it should soon enable anonymous payments via ZeroCoin. What gives them an edge I think is that they have Android & iOS mobile wallets with
- PoS staking function
- bluetooth/NFC offline transfers (LIBREXSEND)
Being able to stake coins on a mobile device is a power feature that shouts "large scale adoption" imho, although security is a worrying issue (physical loss, OS vulnerabilities, always-on device, ...). This sounds like p2p M-Pesa, without the fees and with interest gains. That's the bank account the world at large is waiting for...

I hope our great Fibre dev team can withstand the pressure and work in decent conditions until the market picks up again. Developping a new (and better) anonymity protocol is going to be a differentiating power feature for Fibre. And if we can keep climbing the roadmap, the future looks bright.

Can technologically challenged noobs with little free time like me help the Team, appart from throwing everything we can save into Fibre and sending them good vibes?

Cheers and thanks for the great work

You are on the right track, innovations are the key to success supported by useful, handy tools which bring the adoption

I can assure you the whole team is heading in this direction

Like always we appreciate all suggestions from the community and your support

Little more patience friends and we are good to go and speed up with other things

Cheers
