Hahahaha i didnt think about that, very true. The majority of the budget must have been for FX Just checked it Pilot was 14 Million USD and every other episode was 3-4 Mill. Then again most of the budget went to Mr Spielberg and actors were cheap, also a 2nd season would require a higher salary for the cast and then costs would be big. Pilot was also the most expensive pilot in history. |

my favorite TV show is Game of Thrones
based on a book series. has sex, war, and vengeance. Set 1700's I believe, knights, kings and so on. Has dragons. Very good.

I only watch Netflix. It's cheaper than cable by far, (~$8.00 per month) plus I can watch whatever I want to whenever I want to without commercials, and most of it is in HD. I bought a Chromecast module for $35, so my smartphone Chromecasts to my TV. So far, I'd say my favorites are: Fringe, Urban Legends, Dark Secrets, and other stuff that makes you think.

Breaking Bad ranks up pretty high in my list. I was really sad when the series ended. Owell, anticipating the Better Call Saul spin off now. Hopefully it will be a good one and get continuous support from the network. I really liked seeing his character onscreen!

boardwalk empire, mad men
I like the historical dramas (masterpiece theater from the 80s always rocks IMHO)
past series I have watched religiously; the wire, breaking bad, the killing, sopranos
classics; fawlty towers, upstairs downstairs, get smart, quincy, magnum pi, rockford files (the last 4 are for kitsch factor only)
mostly though, at this point in my life, I've had enough of sitcoms and network fare. My kids watch family guy and I cant stand to even listen to it from the next room, real lowest common denominator stuff there, I honestly do not find it even slightly funny.
I mostly only follow the odd miniseries or hbo style show. which reminds me, its time for season 5 of Boardwalk Empire! woot!
EDIT- I forgot Girls and Bored to Death (great writing and acting both)
