No worries, m8. I was more concerned I had flubbed something up than anything.  Thanks for getting to it so quickly!

Cheers

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

How do you issue shares (i.e. non-public shares) on GLBSE 2.0?  These aren't the shares that are normally for sale in the IPO, but shares given to an asset's owner(s).

GLBSE 1 Claim code issue...

After losing my back up GLBSE key from having to reinstall Windows I had the bright idea suddenly to try to recover the text file weeks after the fact (it worked) and I reimported my account.  I logged back into GLBSE version 1 however everything is "Refreshing" or "Retrieving" and I get pop ups saying "your claim code is Claim".

Has the old system broke again or what?

I'll be adding asset transfer probably later today, you will be able to transfer assets and bitcoin to other accounts as much as you like.

This will allow you to to manage private shares.

No, just bad timing, I'd just restarted the server so it was down for a minute.

So any word on when inter-account transfers are coming?

how 're you identifying the receiving part? we do no longer have the nice ID strings derived from key pair

do sub-users (asset managers) have an email address registered with their account?
or you plan to transfer to a nick name (asset name, in case of sub-user)?
is it more needed than browsing trading/asset/bitcoin history?

yes, having transfers back would be nice

Interesting question.

I'm thinking we'll accept both username and email, and then the asset for the account group with BTC being the default if not included.

So for example

Code:
doctor.nefario@gmail.com:BTC or nefario:BTC or doctor.nefario@gmail.com or nefario

would all send to my default BTC account, if I wanted to transfer to my GLBSE accounts then...
Code:
doctor.nefario@gmail.com:GLBSE or nefario:GLBSE

Starting off we'd just have textfields for users to enter into, but eventually we'll add their other accounts from dropdown menus.

1) Is there a way to get a list of the principals/staff  @ GLBSE? I know you guys are well trusted, but I'd like to know who all I'm dealing with Smiley

I am still looking for an answer to the above question. Can anyone direct me to this information?

Whoa, sorry I missed that.

We did have a people page but it's not showing ATM since 2.0 has gone up.

Anyway, my name is James McCarthy, I'm based near Manchester in the UK.

I recently spoke at TDx in Leeds.

While we're on the topic, what happens if you get hit by a double decker bus?

Well, if I don't die I'll probably go to hospital, if I don't end up brain dead then I'll probably sue the bus company.

Thanks for your concern :p

More seriously though right now we don't have any plans for that. We're going to be having our AGM soon...ish maybe next week I think. That will be a good time to draw up plans for alien capture etc. I'd like to have them in place so that it would require the agreement of a number of people  for it to be able to go forward, and then wind up GLBSE unless we can find someone else to replace me.

Thanks, Nefario.

And you are the sole principal of the organization? the people page would be awesomesauce. Thanks!

And you do solemnly swear that you will put in place plans for continuity when you are eventually abducted by alienz? (or at least promise to send the alienz back here with the keys to our money?!) Smiley

I'm the only one running GLBSE, but we have several shareholders, the ones who provided the starting capital (which includes me).

Yeah, we'll put a plan in place at the AGM, this is something that I think should be put to a shareholder vote.

Nefario.
