Hi I'm a relatively inexperienced member who wants to give bitcoin a go.I'd like a 5BTC loan just to get started.I can pay back within a week.I'll need this to be interest free (as I have no real experience with lending/taking out loans) .I want to show that I can handle loans properly (not be a scammer or be late) by taking out small amounts to try out the lending system here and see how it differs from a traditional bank.
Send to the address in my sig for now if possible

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

They may not understand the reference about the shoe, and my preference is for a pineapple.
Basically, a good idea to gain some credibility, and others have done that too. This section of the forum is littered with examples of people asking for small starter loans and then disappearing with a decent block of change, so expect a hard time just for now.
(Hmm, starfish thinks about writing a guide "scamming bitcoin for dummies")

Instead of making a beeline to the Lending section right after you break out of Newbie status, like every cookie-cutter scammer does, why don't you head over to one of the technical discussion forums and learn a little more about how Bitcoin works before risking your money (or worse, someone else's)?

I had no idea that the method you described is used by scammers. If that's what it takes to prove that I'm not a scammer ,then so be it. I just figured that a smallish loan would be low risk for everyone and me to help establish credibility. I don't know about the shoe thing (as I'm rather new here), I plan to pay off my debt by selling things to pay that off.

Not another loan again. I'm fed up with this kind of stuff.

Thanks for the helpful reply, Patrick. I think I'll withdraw my request for now b4 ppl decide 2 troll me (or worse). I think I should give myself some time to settle in before asking for loans. If some1 still wants to lend, that's ok.If no1 lends, then I'll lock this thread n move on (as no1 wants to help the new guy with a small loan it seems).

You aren't giving us much to work with, other than your word that you'll pay back; and we all know that you can trust strangers in the lending section with your money from experience.

I can appreciate that a possible borrower with nothing to show other than his word can make lenders feel uneasy but still I made it small so that it's easy to pay it back np. However since this loan request has gone unfulfilled due to teh heavy reluctance on the part of teh lenders,I'll be locking this thread soon.
