volume (in currency) has been growing over the year:

I made my original post one month ago.
since then, the tendency has been confirmed.
last week's volume almost broke the june 2011 level

Linden Lab should replace SLL with Bitcoin.

why should they invest in an in-game currency they could create out of thin air instead?  Huh

this week we passed a milestone:
For the first time, the weekly volume has been higher than during the june 2011 bubble.
During that bubble, the volume was mostly caused by arbitrages, due to the high volatility.
now the picture is very different: there is no volatility, volume is caused by demand.

It's the only way currently to reliably exchange bitcoin and paypal funds in an automated way. They are getting a nice markup too because you have to go through linden dollar to do it.
