Dark blue seems to be the most popular, I think I'd go for it as well.
I wish for donators, I could get a green coin + Dark blue indicating both.

I think legendary needs to be marked by an extra coin, not color. In coming days there may be activity levels like Full Legendary, Sr. Legendary and Hero Legendary. Colored coins will become a problem then...

I have zero artistic talent, so if you want something other than a simple color, you'll need to create the image.

If you create an image, you can modify more than just that half-coin. I did that originally only because more than a half coin's worth of color is distractingly colorful. Colorizing half a coin doesn't symbolize anything. If you create an image, make sure it's not more distracting than the normal colored half-coin.

I have set up the template, so you can choose any color you like. I've played around with a few, as you can see below.

Those look very nice by themselves, but I think that they might be jarring if actually used because your coin icons look similar to but not exactly the same as the current coin icons. The current icons don't have the BTC. Still, I added the first two to the poll.

Aah, I wrongly assumed you used the Bitcoin logo instead of normal gold coins, Theymos. Easily fixed. Just let me know if/when you need it in normal coin design/s.

They are slightly more visually distracting, however means that getting up to legendary will upgrade everyone's coins.

The rainbow bitcoin pattern in #18 looks great when they are big, but it doesn't look as good when they are small. So, I choose the simple dark blue one.

How about making it purple just like the VIP donator,
and change the donation ranks to badges just like "bitcoin expert" and "bitcoin core developer"?
