Thanks.  Definitely still waiting.  I don't think this sell-off is finished and I think there's still a good chance we go below $5.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

At least you're consistently bearish. Consistent traders can expect to be right 50% of the time over the long-run, though they still need to capture gains at some point (i'm calling the low at $5.1). That's better than those always ready to switch sides, as they usually go to the wrong side, hah.

I'm bearish for the short term, bullish for the medium term, and very slightly bullish for the long term in that I think a year from now we'll be in the single digits but higher than we are right now.

Just to clarify, are you currently expecting we'll touch below $5, before heading back up? Seems like a number of folks were waiting for a new low below $3.8, but they've gotten pretty quiet lately.

Unlikely. 5.10 yes, but not 5 or below. Why should people sell for less than 5.10 now?
This is a very good time to hold and see the price go up further.

Hell must have frozen over - I actually agree. Although I'm more bullish long-term, barring technical compromise or failure.

Every time someone says something like this, it seems they're proven wrong. I'm going to mine BTC right now and hold them, but I'm also going to hold onto the USD from when I cashed out at $5.40. I'm not buying unless we get close to $4, but I'm also not selling until we hit more than $6.

I said it because of the wall at 5.10, good news from Bitcoinica, SR still having its sale (probably ending today, right?) and Diablo3 running in a beta version. I may be wrong, if so I'll do the same as you. Doesn't mean we will hit 6$ anytime soon though.

What does Dioblo3 have to do with bitcoin?

Well, it could play an important part in boosting bitcoin. A lot of people sell rare virtual items to players online. Since Blizzard is not going to sell so called "hardcore" items in its own onlinestore, and will charge money for softcore items, bitcoin may offer the only way to make such transactions- instantly, safely and basically for free. Some think there wouldn't be a market for hc-items, but there are still even hc-items bought for Diablo2 today, which came out in 2001! There's an own thread on it in the speculation forum.

every time someone says something like 'every time someone says something like this, x happens' they're usually proven wrong. just saying.

someone making a single post on a forum is less indicative than a butterfly's wings.

this sentence has fifteen words, seventy-four letters, four commas, one hyphen, and a period.
