Australians Love Bitcoin Bill Pay

Brisbane-based startup Living Room of Satoshi reports that Australians have paid $150,000 of everyday household bills with Bitcoin in the three months since it launched.

It'll be interesting to track the progress of these guys and see if they're able to branch out to other countries as time goes by. Also, we'll see how the banks and older payment systems take to the increases in alternative payment methods.

Love the way banks deal with BTC - If you cannot beat them, close their account.

Someone with ballz should open a bank for BTC businesses and take away the powers of these suites.  Angry

Once banks start to loose big clients, they will have to mind shift their attitude towards BTC

It only take one bank to do this, the BTC community will support them and the others will follow or die away slowly.

Interesting. Funny, I just read in another post that Australian government ruled that bitcoin is not a currency :-)
You pay with it, you exchange it, it has value, but it is not a currency according to the Aussie Tax office.
