FYI:  For those who use *buntu and derivatives, the Fluttercoin PPA I run always has the latest wallet compiled and ready to download.

I am also waiting on some info from ofeefee so I can get back to work on the website.
The faucet is still staking and will become available hopefully soon.

Your only hope is the eventual pump and dump on Cryptopia that seams inevitable with the way things are going there. It does not look like the coins is going anywhere unfortunately.

the price is fluctuating between 24-32 satoshi at the moment so trading is very profitable

It can still be mined yes.  It was never really dead.  Just a lot investors lost interest.  Still a lot of wallets out there running as long as that is happening is the coin really ever dead?

That price was some time ago before the original dev gave up on it, and the community and us picked it up as it went into fork hell.  We really should be around 700ish, maybe 500ish if other coins that are trading are any indication.  None have PoT rewards, which basically just pay you if you are staking, mining, or transacting with the coins, it's so unique and no one pays it any mind. 

We have had many releases since then and have added PoT on PoS rewards, which is only coin to ever have done it.  We do need a staking engine update, as well as getting website back online, kz working on it, just need to get him files.  Wouldn't be bad to do an update with newer bitcoin core or possibly update with ppc, or nvc latest but those projects don't have a lot of traction.  Some other coins have done the core updates, but it's quite a lot of work.

One thing I like is the staking reward and the adjusting diff algorithm, but we do produce quite a few coins because the diff doesn't stay high for very long.  I'm debating on setting up some type of PoS reward halving sometime in the future.  Basically it's 100% top end now, 5% low end.  This would half to 50%/5%, and then 25%/5%, or just create a slide, 100% then 90, then 80, 70, etc...stretch it out over a year or so.  But the beauty i always liked about FLT is that it was 0 premine, 0 ico.  And the stake rewards have always been 100%/5% based on diff.  This means anyone can join, buy some, stake it and not be penalized because they were not an early adopter.

It also allows PoT to pay out bonus rewards.  for instance i'm staking 200FLT reward blocks, PoT pays someone 10 of this randomly if their address was chosen in the previous block.

A rebrand of the coin has been mentioned.  I have always loved the "fluttercoin" name, as it's PoT is unique and pays out bits, which continues to be paid out later, creating the butterfly effect.

At this point nothing is off limits.  I still stake a very large wallet, and today i have over 10+ connections and it just keeps running, staking like a beast.  Love it, always my favorite.

Well, Fluttercoin was undoubtely a fresh breeze in crypto at the time it was developed. Hell, I'm sure it would be such a breeze even in our days! But it's a shame it looks like dead.
