Talking my book...

I have chosen .0203-.0206 as a supplemental entry point for a significant addition to my meager above water stash.

I reveal that here for posterity... for mockery or gloating...  hard to say which.

24hr Low   0.02020000

Last Price   0.02190000

 Cool     Kiss

Still early for any really GOOD gloating. Wink
For some reason XMR seems to stay less coupled to BTC than other alts...

Except when it's going down.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Daily RSI oversold... Fibo little below its bottom of 61.8% in BTC... In log scale we can say it even do not moved since the last August.. even in USD it is at 50% fibo level and no f.. upcorrection. If no upcorrection at this bull market then I leave Monero for good. It made money last year when the xmr gone up after darknet first time usage infos. Then it became slow bullshit hanging over the wall... All useful cryptos skyrocketed since then. XMR is the last one with actual usage who is lagging below any expectations after watching what happened to altcoin market last year... Even LTC made its time. EVEN Ethereum Classic is going to take over the market capitalization of Monero in near future... What is next ? Factom over XMR? I think that the price of 0,016 is in the range of this crap which I am going to evacuate with my gains of last year...

I cannot believe we are back under 0.02.

Fuck me.

It's more BTC rising than XMR falling - against USD it's a still $90.

Hardly catastrophic.

Unless you longed. Cheesy

...

BTC at 10K USD, DASH and ETH at 0.1, XMR at 0.022?

I feel disgusted.

Well BTC has along way to go to get there but I hear your point and agree wholeheartedly. I guess it doesn't help that not only do we have the botnets dumping but we have the browser hacks mining as well.

Botnets and browser mining... another argument to evacuate of Monero. Monero despite its usage have no promises...

I get the general despair around here.  This valuation does not match my expectations.  So I am buying.

It seems to me that do not panic. All the coins are falling, because people buy bitcoin before the hardfork.

Wait until 0.016 - longs should be cut down. Then it will rise probably only up to 0.039 or so and another drop.(wondering of RSI then> 10? 20? LOL SellCoin Smiley)

its so hard to tell what exactly is happening since crypto is so easy to manipulate but what i do know is that monero always had its lvls where it suddenly got stuck for a while and so far it always came back stronger than before.

i see no reason in monero losing value in the long run.

also we must not forget that in crypto people jump from coin to coin looking for quick and big gains. now
if something looks boring like monero does atm those people wont trade it until it either breaks out or dips hard.
therefore price will tank since miners want to sell their shit etc.

i expect that when bitcoin forks its going to get intersting

Before which hardfork? Before the segwit2x hardfork that won't happen for another month? Or before the gold hardfork that won't happen for another 2 weeks? Either way your theory doesn't make much sense.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

YUP GL, you got more balls than me. I wouldn't buy a chines coin right now. And every single time I sell my Monero's the price spikes and I have to buy back higher (usually MUCH MUCH higher!).

Wouldn't that be a price of $220 though? more than double the now price.

For some reason XMR seems to stay less coupled to BTC than other alts...

Numerically that hasn't really held true. I've looked the data and both XMR and most other alts are highly correlated with BTC (and each other). XMR is actually more toward the "more correlated" end of the spectrum.

There are maybe some exceptions but for the most part if you are buying or holding any in particular, you are either betting on a decoupling in your favor (over some time horizon might be short or long), or hoping that the relatively small residual is in your favor (of course both can be the case).

Too right.  And he is still disgusted, personally (like you) I would not be.

Mathematical value understanding in this thread often perplexes me.
I mean - if you want to cash out, how do you judge it?  No one seems to count their wealth by the seemingly obvious metric of 'fiat value'.

Who at home tells their other half 'Guess what, I am now worth 'X' Bitcoin', rather than 'Guess what, I am now worth X thousand dollars (or EUR / GBP)'. Houses, cars and holidays are not generally advertised in terms of their Bitcoin price.

I know how I calibrate my spreadsheet...

I am either defining something backwards or just fully mistaken in my appraisal.  What I notice is when alts sell off during a BTC rise Monero tends to do so with less momentum.  This is the case now.  While other alts are down 8-15% XMR is down 6%.  And when alts rise WITH BTC Monero does less so.

But it could certainly be some sort of confirmation bias.  I have done no spreadsheet or real study.  I do not trade on it.  I do not really trade...

I may risk sounding pretty dramatic... but multisig is probably by FAR the most meaningful addition to Monero's features on the docket.  Hopefully it can be a point release, but of course let's let the devs get it right.  Patience. Wink

As is widely but probably not universally known, our multisig will not require a hard fork and will not be distinguishable from regular (single signer) transactions on the blockchain.

I don't know what that means in terms of when it gets released. More about what it doesn't mean (doesn't have to wait for a hard fork release nor activation)

There is significantly drop in prices of XMR with respect to previous weeks. The news of Multisig is there yet there is no bullish movement but in real sense we are dropping significantly, will we have a time again when LTC and XMR are at the same starting line altogether?
