Its ironic how faggots on the official sub reddit post loads of pseudo-positive stuff including some wallet GUI preview snapshots (yeah that same infamous GUI wallet people compiled months ago without having found any bugs). Even jaxx walletmakers dropping the support in late october were aware its not the best time and place to release anything. Better hedge themselves, wait for 1-2 weeks. Especially if u acknowledge that u deal with a single-handedly pumped market LOL

Should BTC reach 950 USD this year, xmr will simply continue going down the toilet sink. I say 0.0025-0.004 will be the buying range by the end of the year.

So you want to say that Jaxx CEO = Poloniex CEO = Fluffypony = Apple CEO = smooth = reddit CEO = rpietila?

Well Jaxx is a few full-time employed dudes like u and me and they do wallet GUIs. Obviously they invest and have long-term plays tuned according to their coin picks preferences, and it would be naive to think they dont regularly profit from the release announcements. How do businesses work, lets say businesses under which folks engaged in a full-time activity aimed at scalping gains? Read the wiki then.

And yeah, if I were in their shoes I wouldnt likely release the wallet until the situation on the btc front brightens up a bit.

Accounts pushing positive fads on reddit is all nice as people running nuts on these subscriptions may falsely imagine this could do anything with the price. This is a pseudo-news. r/bitcoin had 5 days old post about flickr accepting btc which is 5 yo news. So yeah its ironic how they try to protect the price from some more acid.

Polo balances, trades, positions and personal info of thousands of users is all visible to exchange owner, so the one should be a dumb to imagine the centralized exchange doesnt hunt leveraged positions with margin calls or misses out on dumps. Anyone thinking XMR pump had a grain of legitimacy must not be doing right in these markets. Thats my opinion.

is this the new exponential trend channel XMR is bound to for the next several months?

Lol these chart "patterns" get more and more ridiculous.
You should try to get into the fortune teller business.

Uh oh, I swear this has nothing to do with the parabolic curves. Use the right environment, all signs have been and are there.

On a side note, "channel" is called this way because of the necessary presence of channel and support trend lines. Those two determine the boundaries of a channel.

With no channel line, u look at a shanel. Thick or thin. Not a "channel".

Price moves contained within the parabolic support and channel trend lines do follow the rules of the traditional channels. Except that at one moment in time when the steepness of the curve stops affecting time range (the arc is about to bend over itself), higher breakout points are final. In linear channels price may back and fill, consolidate below the trend line, chase it, fuck with it and break it.

Fucking with parabolic curves is more seldom.

Let alone hundreds of channels in the daily, theres only one hagopian line / parabolic curve crossover expected to happen not later than july 25. Fact.

XMR would need a parabolic breakout to resume the uptrend either within the downturn kiss (V-bottom shape is probable), or within a chop.

Ranging means more time, approximately till late august 2017.

That would be the future date when the drawn-out price action meets the three-year old ascending parabolic curve.

The best and the most preferable option is to aggressively slip and kiss the curve now or later in december, in which case the price will be sensitive to rejection with a pulling force and might back up immediately.

This would be suggestive of the uptrend continuation in mid/ late january.

That probably depends on Bitcoin and / or the GUI.

Bitcoin drops - the bulls win, Bitcoin rises - the bears hold sway (for now). The fight is because of neither side winning (for now) news may come, but until then (short term) the BTC price is probably the biggest deciding factor.

I am running it now on a linux laptop, it's beautiful and it even seems to work so far, but i've only sent myself 1 xmr, i haven't tried sending it back yet to simplewallet. Cheesy

Edit - I transferred it succesfully back to simplewallet, but I set the default security level to the highest and it says the txid has a mixin of only 4, so I guess there are bugs still. Tongue

All this talk about the necessity and convenience for mass adoption is nonsense at this point in time.

Mass adoption in the literal sense is a long way out. The only group that matters at the moment are people who are already into crypto or curious enough to venture into it. They are few, and their hearts and conviction will have to be conquered.

It is them who will be the ambassadors for when larger adoption actually becomes a possibility. It is their choices which will be the choices of the masses. It is their competence which will help the rest of the world to ease into it.

The GUI is important, of course. However it is not important for the masses, but to help in carving out a sufficiently large group from this mess that makes up
crypto: Idealists, techies, economists, thieves, liars... and all the "normal" people stumbling into this space thinking WOW wtf is going on in here this looks cool!

Just as I did a few years ago.

A group (or market share for the cynics) large enough to gain the necessary inertia to rocket past the cesspool of failed money grabbing shiny shit projects that make up 95% of this habitat.

The people who keep saying mass adoption and daily mainstream use are deluding themselves. The system in place is already efficient and good enough, why is there a need to change it? There are some people who always evangelizes cryptocoins in the name of an ideology. That is fake because we should all accept that what brought us here is really our innate greed for wealth.

The amount of the population that doesn't comprehend being altruistic or being selfless never ceases to amaze me but it really shouldn't if you are incapable of imagining something then you cannot believe in it. But until the majority of the worlds population understands this the species is doomed to extinction. I just can't imagine not understanding this naturally.

There's no such thing as altruism.

This is a useful primer http://www.humantruth.info/altruism.html but there's lots more social science, evolutionary psychology research if you prefer 'proper' papers and articles.

Its a bit of a downer but once you come to terms with this, its actually quite liberating. Smiley

Now it seems the perfect time to buy with the price so low. The prices will explode in a few days when the GUI is released.

Hmm... I understand the logical argument and I could advocate either side of the argument.  However, so called 'altruistic; or charitable things such as the act of giving are things I feel are positive and I don't want to give 'em up.  Yep, I will get a load of (narcissistic?) pleasure from my little nieces opening up their Christmas presents, but I would really rather the world kept a little charity in its heart.

Altruism is just a word wrapper, personally I would like to see everyone work for the common good which will positively effect me personally as the entire species benefits. It's quite simple actually. For some reason all your professionals do not list this reason.

Quote
Neurochemical Rewards: The feel-good factor that comes with doing social good results from our evolved genetic program.

Personal Pride: A person wants to feel good and justify themselves in their thinking of themselves as good, so that by helping others they create their own positive self-identity

The Social Reward: A sometimes secret desire to be seen as good by others (The Goodguy Badge)

The Want of Power Over Others: To help others is to affirm ones' own sense of power and control
