I am using the GUI wallet on a mac. Is there an update? What happens if I don't upgrade? It says on reddit I will be kicked off the network. Will I lose my coins?

You will not lose your coins. You do want to download and use the updated version. Thank you capslock. How do I update it? Just download the new version? Or do I need to replace files etc, I find that hard to do. I'm not on a Mac... but I think you should be able to install it discretely. On my PC I just unzip the folder and run the gui from within the new folder. Your old downloaded blockchain should work. Just make sure you have a(n accurate) copy of your seed words. That is all that matters. |

Monero is the next big thing in crypto world. Its totally untraceble and this makes monero fantastic.
Transaction fees are little much more then other competitors but it worths who wants the real privacy about their money.
Wonderfull tech and dev team and wonderfull community will make monero above 1000$

Extract from the original article: Zcash is also supported, at least to the extent that Zcash blockchain analysis is even possible:
it introduces a complex script that includes zero-knowledge proofs, but these aspects are parceled away in a special type of address that is not publicly legible by design.I still prefer monero than zcash for the same reasons as many (massive premine, trusted setup...), but we need to be honest when reporting these findings. For dash, the conclusion of the merkle article is still valid. |

I am one of those who rage quitted Monero after the fake fluffy pony "announcement" 3 months ago. I have since been trying to re-enter hoping for that elusive major dip. Hoping today is that day though price seems to be exceptionally resilient to the big China FUD. Oh well, going to watch dumb and dumber today... need to relate to something.

Earlier this year is hot trend of Ethereum, Ripple (January -> May) and also is the trend of Litecoin (in May). From June till September is the trend of Bitcoin => September to December will be trend of Monero is possible  - my conspiracy theory. |

Hi, you need to visit the official site at https://getmonero.org/2017/09/07/monero-0.11.0.0-released.html and download and install the new macOS graphical interface today before the hard fork tomorrow. |

The entire market is hurting as one of China’s big crypto-market closed down. I’m sure that very soon the entire market will correct as people buy the dip. Nothing to be worried about, although it’s a good chance to fill your bag. |

What's it gonna be a slow drift down to ~0.02/~100usd or another correcting spike up to ~0.05/~250usd?
We will get to 0.05 eventually of course, but this year or next year is the question.
Probably a slow climb to around 150-200$. But it all depends, more (bad) news about regulation and making Monero illegal would probably give a faster growth as any publicity usually inflates prices. I think we will hit .03+ in the coming weeks - hoping to see it in a few days - but who knows... this is crypto! That happenned. I sold some, now bought it back. |

My burning question is this,,, why or how on earth did Dash become so much, that it is more than even Litecoin and Monero combined?
