Just rumors. Fluffy did give a presentation at Coinbase around 10 months ago, and Charlie Lee (formerly at Coinbase) likes Monero. AFAIK that's all that's definitely known.

Until Coinbase adds Monero, you can buy Monero with fiat at Kraken.

I've always heard it was dependent on Monero getting multisig working before Coinbase adopts it. That was the rumor. So, maybe before end of year?

Ok for identifying a trend, and I don't dispute there are slices of the data right now that make monero look bad.

But that is to ignore the ongoing external forces and influences, they don't reoccur to the pattern. Such as the key proponents of security frequently referring to monero as the only true secure coin. or the main potential coin.

I suppose a significant pullback has felt overdue for many in BTC its hard to decide when you have missed the train and when is just buying at the top. Its all only knowable after the fact.

Someone there who had no clues what was talking about was giving false promises.
It was same with Coinomi. Someone that was responsible to tweet was giving promises how mobile wallet will be available any day. When those that knew when that should approximately happen in Coinomi put him "from the clouds back to the grounds", they changed to no information policy and plan to surprise us.   What we are sure now is that they were at least 3 months from the release back then.

I also thought lack of Multisig was a stumbling block to having it listed, found this. My memory sucks to much to remember where I read that.

Personally, I think s2x will be the longest chain, because BTC hash rate will be inadequate to keep up.

BTC hash rate responds to economics.  Within the incentive structure designed by Satoshi, as tx fees pile up and compete "inadequate" hash rate is a self-correcting problem.

Users will use the chain with lower fees, where you can actually get a confirm before your beard turns white.  Core will suffer a massive difficulty bomb, and if 80% of the hash is on s2x, it will take 4x longer to get a confirm.  Also, there will be more xns in an s2x block, so miners are incentivized by the total fees, even when fees are only ~50% of the fees on core.

I don't really care which one wins, but I am taking a flyer on s2x for these reasons.  Not in 250 BTC size, however.  I am just buying the b2x futures.  There I can also daytrade a bit to lower my cost basis, which I cannot do with Back's contract.

A twelve month program of information destruction has been incredibly successful. Just a little bit of sabotage here and there week in week out deleting large texts.

These days whenever someone looks at the Wikipedia entry they leave the experience with the psychological takeaway that Monero is poor and crap.

This is how we managed to destroy the incoming community, and by the end of the year our plan will be complete.

You can laugh but in end Monero made Michael Crichton total error. You had best technology but people were not able to defend wikipedia.
