Altcoins ruined everything, bitcoin would have made me rich now Im stuck with useless altcoins instead fuc!
Kind of got that same feeling. feelsbadman. But, I see it from a positive side, there is a lot of more growth potential! Many of those alts can bring great returns in 2018! Life shuts a door and opens another. As for monero: what are the expectations for end of 2017? I would love to finally enter but Im not sure if now after that rise in price is the right time to do so?

Oh jeez, cry us a river. welcome to alts. hodl or cry and lose money... I am pretty sad that I didnt buy me some Monero when I first heard about it one year ago. It would have been the perfect time, and I would have made such a good profit by now. Do you think now is still a good entry point or should I wait for another retrace? What are the price expectations until end of 2017?
Nobody knows. I've been buying since .50 cents a few years ago. Still would buy more. Oh lol, thanks that you answered already, I deleted that post again, because I saw the post about being stuck with the alts. haha. Good on ya with those 0.50c! Do you think Aeon got a similar growth potential as Monero?

Short term, Monero will be going back up when Bitcoin takes a breather from mooning. Long term, Monero will go to the moon once the next AlphaBay is established and I'm assuming it will accept xmr as the primary currency and implement escrow features available with Monero Multi-sig. I want to tell you that in the Russian segment the analogue alphabay already exists, and one that was closed in the summer, does not use a monero, and the second who has now taken away the main stream of clients of the first, for some reason also does not use the monero. I asked the sellers, but they say they have enough bitcoin .... Fools)

Nobody knows. I've been buying since .50 cents a few years ago. Still would buy more. Someone was speaking about the "psichology" of price. I had the oportunity to buy monero with cash in person for ( as far as i remember) 10 or 15% above market. I didn´t. I was wrong. Because the "above market" was at the time 55$. Rough:)

The numbers there, at least as far as CPU limits, are completely out of date as they are pre-RingCT. I don't know of new numbers. Probably bandwidth and even storage (though the latter less so than the former) would be practical limits well before raw CPU throughput. This applies both pre- and post-RingCT. Whatever the limits might be, they are all "soft" limits in the sense that they are defined by practical resource limits, and to a lesser extent implementation issues. The protocol itself has no meaningful "hard" limits.

Libertas (Monero only) Libertas look good and I think AERO that was also mentioned has potential. Have to check them out just to see the offerings. AlphaBay was the dominant force for so long. Thanks.

Thanks! I don't think tail emissions are necessarily a bad idea. They are probably ideal for a cryptocurrency that wants to mimic cash, since a small amount of inflation encourages more spending than inflation-nuetral or deflationary coins. Also, tail emissions might be necessary for the security of PoW chains after the majority of coins have been mined. It is not clear to me that PoW coins without tail emissions can be secure enough from only transaction fees. It depends on how much the PoW cryptocurrency is used when that time comes. I did not mark it down for the tail emission. I marked it down because almost 90% of the entire coinbase is mined in the first 4 years. That is not ideal as far as longterm distribution goes, and probably creates a lot of early adopter whales compared to a slower emission curve. @Smooth Thanks for your post!

Fear not, XMR has been rising slightly against BTC for the last few hours, and is generally holding well during a BTC rocket period. So perhaps we're seeing the start of the much anticipated sling-shot effect which, if combined with upcoming Multisig, DNM adoption, etc. could see some bullish times ahead for XMR. It's certainly not a time to sell and miss the train - the train's just running a little late, but it's on its way.

I've gotten to the point that I can't tell if new posters are people (bots) trying to take advantage of sig campaigns or are new XMR interested folks from possibly non English speaking countries? I think this could be somewhat bullish?
It's a small clue that they always seem to have paid signatures Do you really have sigs shown as an option? It's a pita to go into options to turn it on just to check. Also there are farmers that are just trying to build up accounts to then use in campaigns and i'm sure to sell and shill and so forth. This board really just needs a way to block en-mass n00b accounts. Until they build some time up the real ones need to learn from the other sections of the board and shouldn't jump into this section anyway even if it's for their own protection. Lol

That was a nice pop for Monero. As billionaire Mike Novogratz said, the herd is coming. Buckle up.
