So, hold it and keep quiet.
I want every person of good will to benefit from owning Monero during this early growth phase, so I am loathe to keep quiet about it. The more press we get, the sooner we can overcome the growing pains of low market cap. With monerujo in place, most adults can deal with holding and using small amounts of Monero (unless they are on iOS - which desperately needs to be fixed - maybe coinbase will fix that, maybe not). But hey, I am neither inclined nor talented to do PR work. I think. Anyhow, it is probably best to defer the promotion of XMR to the general public until economic fundamentals have caught up to the price, unless you want even more volatility. Your posts here have been instrumental in formulating my investment thesis. Myself, my family, and my friends have benefited greatly. I hope we fall into the category of "person of good will". Certainly, we give back to our community and to the developers who make this all possible. However, I believe my own personal involvement matters little. Monero is what matters. It seems likely that transitioning from Type 0 to Type I civilisation carries with it a strong risk of self-destruction. Money is the foundation of civilisation, and Monero may represent the best hope for the human race to not go gentle into that good night. Ironic that I've pinned my hopes to the currency of outlaws and outcasts.

Also, you've listed exchanges, but not markets. Are you using a USDT reference, or $ conversion for any market?
It will be $ conversion rate. Who knows what happens with USDT.

Monero is the CryptoKing of privacy. Nobody can real challenge Monero. It is just sad that so many new coins get so publicity and they are just garbage. We will see Monero hit 50bi market cap before July.

Such a vacuum is truly anhorrent. It will not stand. I revise my estimates on XMR to 200 in October, 1000 in March, and 5000 before 2019.
Completely agree on vacuum instability and timeline. IMO the modulating factor will be hardware wallets. Huge speculative energy is tending to gravitate around assets that are either on the Ledger or the Trezor. (It turns out mainstream VCs are somewhat techno-illiterate.) The moment that changes then you’re looking at Monero as a Top 3 coin. Dragging this up, as we are closing in on what I feel will be a huge swell to the market. I just gave a Nano S to each person I know owning crypto, due to Ledger's imminent support of XMR. Not very many, to be sure, but this is the beginning...

PS some normal people on facebook mocking cryptos. That's interesting.
I'm seeing this, too. But also, I'm finally getting some friends and family to see the monero light now that the price has climbed mightily but it's too bad they didn't listen before (or I wasn't convincing enough.) I would've liked them to have bought in earlier but I wasn't truly super confident and we had some ups and downs over the past year so it's less stressing to only worry about my own investment... I haven't exactly been shouting about monero from the rooftops, just planting hints here and there. One nice example, I gave 15 moneros last Christmas that were worth about $125 and are now worth over $5K! He was amazed when I told him this Christmas.

They were talking about BTC and tulips and having a good laugh. They are clueless of the money made along the way and of course there is more than 1 POV in every situation. Bubble pop? healthy correction? etc. Seems the media swayed them to confirm they were right to avoid new things. *edit* and now for some reason my post was deleted. Including my competition entry thanks for that. 14 March please for the competition
Goooooo Monero!

They were talking about BTC and tulips and having a good laugh.
To be fair they will probably have not the last laugh but a good hard laugh in the middle somewhere. Every time there is a revolutionary paradigm shift people overreact and become too exuberant. The dot com bubble is a great example. People lost their minds because they saw the potential of the internet. They weren't wrong in the long run. The internet really has changed the whole world. But that didn't stop them from losing a lot of money in the dot com crash. The apple stocks that they bought are now the most valuable publicly traded equities on the planet (I think, too lazy to look and make sure I'm right) but that didn't stop people from losing a ton of money on apple at the time. Crypto will probably be a lot like that too. The future amazons of the crypto world are here now. But they will probably be ridiculously over bought at some point either now or in the near future.

Ok so my post from last night was take down, so here’s my attempt to FTFM. A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted. I will give out a total of 10 XMR to the person(s) that have correct or closest guess when Monero hits 777 USD
February 14th 2018... Romero is gonna get romantic as f*** on Valentine’s Day and explisively do well for itself on this day of romantic gestures. Mark it down boys. ... I’m drunk totally sober now

They were talking about BTC and tulips and having a good laugh.
The tulips people. These type of people, who are arrogant and mocking toward cryptos, exist all around the planet. They defend the fiat controlled by the TPTB, thinking, that they are on the winners side of it. While they are not, only maybe half a percent of the people are. These narcissistic idiots are unable to understand, that the benefit of the whole society would also be the benefit of themselves. But while they are unable to apprehend it, they lose a hell of a junk of a money. And that is just right for them.

My post was deleted by a moderator, not sure why. Anyway, trying again. Mods, please don't just delete this (perhaps somebody is spam-reporting guesses to get rid of competition) and instead see that this is perfectly on topic. Anyway, I'm gonna guess March. 13th, 2018.

I’m drunk totally sober now Hah, I had planned on moving to fiat until BTC corrected (until Coinbase fucked me) and mid Feb was my re-entry target. So I'm agreeing with you but I'd say More toward the latter half of Feb. I will give out a total of 10 XMR to the person(s) that have correct or closest guess when Monero hits 777 USD
February 26/27th or 23:59 EST on Feb 26th to be exact. They were talking about BTC and tulips and having a good laugh.

I went for April 1st 2018. I was deleted too, but maybe mods thought a comp like this was not a good idea. It worked in the WO thread - so why not here? I would rather see an absolute for how the $777 is calculated (given on Polo the only USD price is based upon Tether (Yuck!). I think Explorer was similarly concerned. But maybe it's all moot, given all posts including the original defining post were deleted?
