There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Great links, I would like to comment on the first one.

This is absolutely true In my mind.

What is Monero? Is it really superior to the coin I’m invested in?

As these Dash investors begin doing even a small amount of research, they will very likely realize why Monero has surpassed it – irrespective of marketing budgets. This may in turn lead them to ‘swap out’ of Dash and into Monero – putting further downward pressure on the former and upward pressure on the latter.

And I am of the opinion that it has already happened once and that is when those 500 masternodes were liquidated and the massive pump started. Also he neglected to mention the fact that the reason they are able to pump Dash so much is the ninja mine. I think he should add a link to the thread "Why Dash's (darkcoin? IO forget) instamine matters" thread.

(the SEC) "indicated that they would not pursue any enforcement action for prior wrongdoing" (of Poloniex) eg. get out of jail free card

I'm wondering what wrong doing they are suggesting and does it mean they will go after other exchanges for "prior wrongdoing" One rule for them and another rule for the rest

They plan to become biggest in USA. And ofcourse they have great chances.  What worries me is that since there is mention a lot of assets and tokens. They might close Monero pairs. I dont want to call the devil, but was something that crossed my mind. Since for sure will be some changes.   If Monero pairs stays and they succeed at their plans then this is super bullish for Monero it is like Monero would be listed on Coinbase.

IMO, this won't happen.  Having Monero on an exchange that the government can at least view *some* of the data(ingress) is better than having no data at all.

I am not saying delisting Monero, but to not have Monero as main currency as they are now BTC, Monero, ETH and USDT.

Owow. I like this guy. This is exactly my approach to investing also. Thanks for the link. I'm going to go post it in the dash thread now Grin

I thought about doing something like this https://cryptoizzy.blogspot.ca/2018/02/dashing-ahead-of-monero.html so they would click it expecting validation and instead get a pie in the face. But I don't want to damage my trust in the community. Boo Sad would have been even funnier.

They could be, XMR/USD which would make them number one before long because of course they have the connections. They in effect should put coinbase in the dust.

I would expect them to lose USDT (if they are smart). Unless they force Tether to prove it's books.

No this reads as criminal only. But I do wish you the best of luck bringing civil action against the vampire squid!

Thanks, I didn't want to read that link with "trump all over the place in it" Lol
Also nice to know I can still sue them if I ever want to spend the effort.

And dammit your bump on the cuckoo thread got me back into reading up on it again and I ran across this that made me bust out laughing!

Now that's just mean!  LAWL.  Cheesy

No need to kick the poor DashHoles when they're already down, despondent over their break-up with Amanda.

Of course I do like that article's thesis about XMR potentially slingshotting past DASH after and as a result of The Fluffening, but you gotta feel bad for the cargo cultists when their cute crypto-betty left them for a clown who retweets BCash Jesus and unironically writes about how Auroracoin is making a comeback (https://medium.com/@theurbanejournalist/auroracoin-heats-up-in-iceland-27883778e2d5). Meh. It's hardly usable anyway right now in it's current state. And you know that only depends on whether you plan on paying taxes. I sold a little crypto to build a house and I was fine using exchanges that report to the feds because you cant get away with paying for something like a house without paying taxes anyway. So it all just depends on the situation. But yea if you plan on spending a million dollars per year of profits on hookers and blow and not paying taxes on those profits you probably shouldn't use VSquidEx.

It seems to me Mongolo is attracted to the number 3 recently.

It does not like to be either:

1.  Less than .03 BTC

-or-

2.  MORE than $300

It tends to be attracted upwardly to the BTC price (And usually back to the USD price), or downwardly towards the USD price.

Maybe I need more sleep?

We are in the stable at $300 mode right now.
