'Haven’t heard of anything on the regulatory side. Presumably, it’s something specific to their [Bittrex] business.' - Jesse Powell (Kraken CEO)

https://twitter.com/jespow/status/1345117102009536512

I have a feeling someone is going to buy Bittrex.  Actually I imagine it is already underway.  Could be a traditional bank, or even Coinbase.

At least a possibility.

I got the same feeling to, but let´s see  Grin Wink

I realy dont understand why privacy coin will be delisted, the first crypto coin launch it should be privacy for everyone but the circullation also transparrant. And XMR is the one of the very good privacy coin. Gov will always reject the privacy coin but privacy coin will always have its own user IMO

This is true.

They had a very long time to come up with a good reason to stop Monero.

I havent seen one yet.

Just the usual FUD

I don't think Bittrex is bluffing so I fail to see the FUD.

Also delisting privacy coins and letting the others go tells me something very important. They want us to be there. You decide if that's a good thing or not.

There we go Mindrust endorsed.

The last coin he poo pooed was BTC at about 10K

How did that work out for you? despite all the warnings from genuinely concerned friends

I also heard you were now chasing tether

Life is a long marathon. Mistakes will happen from time to time. I made my peace with it.

Believe it or not however, I always liked monero. Cool

And about tether, it is going to blow up sooner or later. We still don't know what's the exact reason for this pump. It might be genuine or it might be tether alone. They recently printed another ~$ billion.  Which is worth noting.

It's a bit too early to do such estimation for January. The high volume of the first few days was caused by the exchange rush after Bittrex FUD.

Those month transactions stats are always off first week in the month. But trend is up and also will be next year since more then obvious crypto will be trendy.

It seems there is debate going on to increase ringsize whenever next protocol upgrade will happen.  https://github.com/monero-project/research-lab/issues/79   I dont think is needed but on the other hand many try to trace Monero transactions and if even in small scale that would happen would bring bad publicity.  There is still a lot of time until decision will be taken. I dont think there is even set date for next protocol upgrade. I do hope a lot more people will express their opinion. Specially those that have good knowledge of cryptography.

And about tether, it is going to blow up sooner or later. We still don't know what's the exact reason for this pump. It might be genuine or it might be tether alone. They recently printed another ~$ billion.  Which is worth noting.

This dont seems so bad for tether and/or other stable coins.

It is beautiful simple to induce xmr which isn't feasibly traceable to you, directly, as long as you utilize an satisfactorily scrambled vpn services. Mainly cases buys of xmr are made with btc, which is the weakest, connect. Somebody as of late bought a number of XMR from local exchanges in cash.Mostly they did not utilize IP anonymization, but it isn't doable to determine whether they possess any xmr from perception of organize activity alone.

You’d require information of money exchange as well, which would take off a parcel of question, indeed at that point, depending on what transactions were mined within the days some time recently and after, how closely money exchange compared to the crypto exchange, in time and esteem, and what blending level was utilized.

Just running some figures...

I predicted Monero for June 2021 with 0,036BTC
Now say, BTC is at €50k in June (quite conservative calculation) and XMR is at 0,036BTC (quite conservative calculation) that would equal to €1800/XMR
Now if you want to be a XMR millionaire in € you would need to sell 555,555556 XMR to reach €1.000.000 in June  Roll Eyes

In that context, at the current given exchange price for XMR/BTC looks like a heavy bargain  Wink

I predicted Monero for June 2021 with €1800

I shortened your quote but thats what you just said right? How does this make any sense?

Why would Monero go x14 ?

This seems like wishful thinking from your side since you hold alot of Monero. But you havent
given any reason Wink

I do agree it may be an interesting project as a store of value with possible further regulations
coming but its not clear yet how good atomic swaps will work and if they will be safe and
unregulated and if all exchanges get forced to delist monero it could as well drop below $150
even if Bitcoin keeps rising.

It was amazing to be part of Bitcointalk for a little while. Thankyou. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5316241.0

is this congruent? atomic swap negates exchange usage

Here is a chart to cheery the mood.  1D XMR USD

Because it seems to be the nature of XMR, as it was in the past. My speculation is based on a conservative view. Please keep in mind, that the last spark was 26 times the relation to BTC, if you take the half of that spike into consideration (times ~13 +/-) you will end up there. I do not think that the regulation will impact Monero in that way as it does for XRP, hence XRP is a company driven asset with literally no value at all. XMR has the value with the tech behind which was, is and will be often copied into other projects.
In my opinion company driven assets will end up in a dot.com bubble, government driven assets will end up like FIAT and community driven real assets will be superior. If you want to be kinky, call it gold standard of crypto  Wink

Well I gotta say I would love to see this but I don't believe it for a second.

But I do believe this may be a final shakeout of weak hands from a very large adversary with strong hands and we won't see those coins loosed up again for awhile if ever.

There was very low volume for a long time before a massive FUD campaign from multiple directions and then a continual dump coinciding with a expected selloff while BTC finds a new floor.

That was a perfect time for a adversary to make a large move and with the new nodes sticking around even with the price plunge we can correctly assume something big is going on.

I feel pretty comfortable holding right now and even though it looks ugly I agree there will be a massive bounce back to a new floor in a few months.

I'm just glad I am in a position right now that I can ride it out as I have the operating capitol I need and don't expect another pre alphabay moment! Grin
