Anyway its pretty weird project but some if crazy people donate to be godfathers and this happen for real imagine the news "Couple name their Child Satoshi Bitcoin" , "First Bitcoin Baby" etc I am pretty surprised most people answer so easily yes. Would you like everybody to know that you name your kid Satoshi Bitcoin? Your face and your kid face will be everywhere its not so simple! |

Bitcoin is the future and we hope that future generations will grow up and be able to experience and live in financial indepedence. So we have to help our newborn daughter build her future based on that. If you fund us, t o help raise her, we will name her Satoshi Bitcoin. This way she will be spreading the message of Bitcoin to the people her age everywhere in the world. She will be the first bitcoin baby and she will become a living preview of the upcoming future of generation alpha, as part of a big community. Future is here! Be a part of a new era! Thank you for funding our little satoshi  The project finalises in 10 months and last i checked a baby finalises in 9 months, soo explain that one to me! |

It's not like it's not a common name in some places so I can not see any reason why I would not name my child Satoshi. Getting 150 bitcoins to do it would be amazing but I would not rule out using this name because I wanted to either and no just for bitcoins.
very true. its like offering 150btc to name your child John. i can see many japenese families that even without seeing this topic or knowing bitcoins, that have named their son satoshi this week, soon finding this thread and claiming the prize way before an actual bitcoiner that is planning to have a child to then name Satoshi in 9 months |

Satoshi for a name isn't an awful choice at all
Bitcoin would be a bit ridiculous though but yes I would name my baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins without feeling guilty since its a good name
The meaning of Satoshi is "clear thinking, quick witted, wise".
Seems like a wonderful name for a newborn.

Back to the topic, I think millions of people will queue up if this much amount is offered. BTC150 is equivalent to $77,000+ at today's exchange rate. And even in western nations, people are producing babies to claim just $5,000 or $6,000 in child benefits.
