I started a blog not too long ago and just posted an article that has Bitcoins as a tool to protect ones liberty online. Since I'm new to the blog thing, is there any advice? Anything I should add to that article? I'm expecting a part two to that article if I get more suggestions.

Bitcoin isn't really anonymous by default and I think we should stop spreading this misconception for our own good.

Otherwise I liked your article.

There is a lot of confusion around bitcoin an anonymity. I think it stems from confusion about anonymity mostly. I don't know the right word... but anonymity is the sort of thing where everything has to go right. If one step reveals your identity it is revealed the other steps don't matter (concerning anonymity anyway).

So the statement to make about bitcoin is that you don't have to reveal your identity to use it. You might, probably will, but that's not about bitcoin that's the other stuff you do.

I think that is a good primer for the average windows user. It might be interesting to elaborate on examples of how privacy has helped humanity. So many people imagine how it could help criminals and forget how many people live under true tyranny. Right now people in Syria are organizing to assist others in getting out of the country while under fire. They are one facebook post away from being tortured to death.

I like this. I tried it a little bit in talking about how there is no chance of identity theft in using Bitcoins, but nothing bigger than that. Although that also sounds like a good post on its own.
