Hello

I'm trying to set up my first miner under Ubuntu 11.04 server edition. I understand that the normal route is to install under Ubuntu desktop edition, but I would really prefer the server edition.

I've followed some tutorials that I've found on the Internet and on the forums for the desktop install procedures.  I have my ATI 5850 connected, and installed fglrx. Obviously  it looks like X needs to be running.  I installed xserver-xorg and xfe4  thinking that it would help, but it didn't.  I can't even run aticonfig (command not found) - must be that the fglrx library isn't loaded without x properly running.

Does anyone have any advice or tips on getting things working under Ubuntu Server Edition?

thanks!
