- Monero has no premine. If someone ever pays for pro-monero shilling, he is doing it completely out of his own pocket.
- Other coins feel threatened and they have a premine = free money to be used in "forum operations".

There is no such campaign and there is no proof. CfA is a many-time repeat-offender troll and a liar, or possibly he is stupid for being duped by fake messages. But I doubt he was duped, more likely he just made it up.

I look at paid PR as a friction cost in the market place. Something that needs to be minimized although in many cases cannot be avoided entirely. When it comes to investing lavish marketing campaigns on the part of the promoter usually means poor returns for the investor.
