It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

and also :

Assuming these numbers represent letters you get the following when you divide the two clockwise/counterclockwise sequences into sections of 8. 2 numbers are left over, shit, so many straws to grab.
clockwise:
01101101 = M
10100010 = ? NA
11011011 = ? NA
00111101 = ? NA
11110110 = ? NA
11011111 = ? NA
00101000 = ? NA
11100010 = ? NA
11011111 = ? NA
01111101 = ? NA
11110011 = ? NA
10011011 = ? NA
01 = ? NA
counterclockwise:
11001101 = ? NA
10110100 = ? NA
01011011 = ? NA
01101011 = k
01100111 = g
00111110 = ? NA
11111011 = ? NA
11101101 = ? NA
00011100 = ? NA
01010011 = S
11101101 = ? NA
10111110 = ? NA
11 = ? NA
CONCLUSION: TLDR: these aren't letters or the sequencing is wrong

17 leaves
4 square swirly thingies in the corner
7X9 chess board (standard chess boards are 8X8 with 64 tiles)
63 tiles
32 white tiles
31 black tiles
1 burning/melting toppled white queen
1 purple knight
1 white morning dove
1 phoenix
1 lantern/key thingy (what is this thing???) with 6 red ribbons, three short, three long. SLLSLS and 7 beams of light

7x9 chess board looks real important.

Quick google search brings us to this wiki website, and we end up at a chess variant called yari Shogi.

http://www.eglebbk.dds.nl/program/cvwiki//index.php?title=Yari_Shogi

More info on Yari Shogi can be found on this wiki page.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yari_shogi

But if you check this wiki, this page was only added on March 10 2015.  If you check the main page it used to be empty and just recently got all this chess stuff added.

Is this page interesting?  http://www.eglebbk.dds.nl/program/chess-index.html

His blog has only posts in March 2015.

http://www.eglebbk.dds.nl/program/blog/

Hmm, I'm a new member so I don't know anything about what's been found so far.

Maybe just a coincidence, but it's strange how the image has so many themes in common with the second book of the harry potter series.

The painting is a chamber of secrets. The secret is the private key we are seeking.

 - Ron, Harry, and Hermione play a game of chess.
 - They are ensnared in a vine called the "devil's snare"
 - Dumbledore's phoenix punctures the eyes of the basilisk
 - Gryffindor corresponds to the element of Fire (http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Hogwarts_Houses)

It was the first book with the chess and the vines.

Ah, I got em mixed up. It's still a little weird that the painting has that many themes in common with the series.

Yeah, there's also flames in the new image and the new award address is guess what??? 1FLAME

Apart from that there's actual black tiles (instead of blue) that nobody seems to have noticed (or noticed but ain't telling until they figure out what it means).

That being said, I will say this for one last time and I will be on my way....

the flames on the borders could be binary. long flames representing 1, short flames representing 0. Where to start is the question. Or purple flames being 1/0 and green flames being 1/0. Could be a double message between these too, but again where to start? The outside border looks more chaotic then the inside border. The likelihood of there being a message contained with in the inside border is greater then the outside.

I don't think it is binary (at least not directly).

Flames come in four combinations of colors, as I can see it:
(inside color) - (outside color)
blue - yellow
blue - red
green - yellow
green - red

Also, they come in two lengths - short and long. That makes 3 bits per flame. It can be mapped to binary on 8! = 40320 ways.

One example mapping is:
bys 000
brs 001
gys 010
grs 011
byl 100
brl 101
gyl 110
grl 111

(where bys = blue-yellow-short, grl = green-red-long, etc..)

40320 combinations does not seem too hard to brute force, but how to check if output is correct? ASCII?

Nice!

So you used your (a little bit over two years) account to tell us that?
(Your very first post after 2+ years, nice!)

Apart from that you are doing the same mistake you did on your first bullshit ARG....
you are schooling them yet you have no intention of giving up the reward.

Apart from that, you DO NOT BRUTE FORCE, you just use your wits.
WTF happened to you?
No rules this time?

Ah, nevermind, good luck everyone trying to "crack" this one.....

I'm new to this. What's your theory?

You seem to be implying that 9500 is the same person who created the contest.

What would be their motivation? How does the scam work? What's it in for them?

LOL!

The same that was for the "pony" girls in the previous contest, which was basically the same person as the OP but just trying to give everyone a push because they were stuck....

Motivation? Publicity....
She needs it badly, but she is getting bad publicity because she didn't put up.

PS: Don't even try it this time, I am using open internet connection  Wink

Also: check out how the OP responds to my statement here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766000.msg10953793#msg10953793

Then follow the real ending in the first bullshit ARG and you will find MANY similarities ......

The use of images and/or gifs instead of a proper answer being one .....

EDIT: Wheres my PONY this time?
