Ethereum recently dumped only 3.7k bitcoins, they still have 27k coins waiting to dump, guess how low the price will be when they eventually cash out?

Announcement on planned withdrawal from exodus
we intend to soon make a transaction to begin using the funds to repay loans and kickstart the process of setting up our development hubs and expanding our staff. We have made a commitment to be highly transparent about how we spend the funds, and that is a commitment that we intend to live up to; to that end, we have already released an Intended Use of Revenue chart and a roadmap to show how we intend to spend the BTC. More recently, the community has followed up with a wonderful infographic on CoinTelegraph using the information that we have posted. Now, we intend to release some additional information about the nature of our first withdrawal transaction

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

If they will sell all those coins at once the price will fall under $100 but I doubt they want to lower so much its value.

They should be holding their coins because the next year will be worth ten times the actual value according to the charts.

Maybe they won't sell all the coins but probably they will sell some more to cover the expenses and do some nice holidays...

I heard Vitalik Buterin speak last January at Decentral and trust me, the kid's a genius.

If the other members of the development team are anywhere close to being as smart as he is, they'll liquidate their bitcoins with minimal slippage.

Would be foolish to trust a kid with 27k btc regardless if he is genius or not. Beside, the world is fine being run by monkey and never has the world ever being run by a genius.

You are right.

But dumping 25k in a day or two will drop the coin BY at least $100 USD.

Remember cooperate mining farms are selling coin everyday to recoup their investment and electricity.

I guess they have a lot of expenses to cover. They are renting out offices, employing people and travelling round the world. No doubt they will also need wages for themselves while they develop the project.

The last time the ethereum team dumped some bitcoins they announced their intentions beforehand. If they make another dump announcement I expect bitcoin's price will suddenly drop.
