It's weird, because I started mining when it was $3 a coin, and that was so recently...
Hope this means a solid $7.5/btc for the weeks to come, right guys?
Time to buy, while they're cheap.

Time to buy, while they're cheap. Or not, me and a buddy are farming to build up some money for a rig that isn't wasteful on power or our wallet to start up. So can't get into trading just yet :/ But when we do. we'll get the spray paint out and label each box specifically "Hookers" or "Blow" so that we know exactly where we should put the money when it comes time to invest.

Hot Tip: Now place your orders to buy at ~$8.30 to $8.50, since a healthy rally will make corrections.

The scammers who use Paypal for fraud are the root cause of people not accepting your funds. There are ways to buy...

meh.. verified paypal vs random person on message board claiming to have digital currency.
I would assume the burden would be on the person w\ the digital currency.

Every time I go to Mt Gox to see that the price has significantly risen from the previous day, I say to myself, "this is insane."
Every time I go there, I think "why does it take so long to move money into Mt Gox?" Yeah, I was trying to buy last week and literally just made my first buy because of dwolla setup and transfer times. Wanted to buy at 8, had to buy at 11.49

How sustainable is this though? Are there any analyses out there about this crazy rise in bitcoin value?
I would like to hear some good arguments to persuade me this isn't a self-reinforcing bubble with nothing at the end of it except a loud 'pop'...
Don't sweat cat-pipe, he's an expert at being the killjoy. The best argument I can think of is the resources and capital already expended in the market. Wherever you have vested interest, a sustainable market is sure to follow, even if some of the participants are pure egomaniacs. Have a good one!

This sudden growth seems rather unnatural... Hope I'm wrong and it's just a side effect of growing interest in BTC. But from my experience, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

It could be called Semi-rational exuberance a.k.a. A Bit CrazyIMO, Bitcoins will be either worth over $5000/BTC or < $0.01/BTC and everything in-between is an amazing adventure.
