Yes it's indeed a strange payout structure: if showed in percentage it is

1° - 43%
2° - 23%
3° - 13%
4° - 12%
5° - 9%

whilst I would consider a typical payout somehting like this (assuming 5 position paid as it appears in lobby):


1° - 45%
2° - 25%
3° - 15%
4° - 9%
5° - 6%

This kind of payout is winner-oriented and could be varied if they would like to split more amongst the non-winners

The payout structure is actually fine and good enough. It may seems like a weird number however the first structure as used by Fortunejack will give more to players assuming that if you are not finished as the second or the first rank. This payout structure was actually based on number of players imo incase if you forgotten

for this tourney it's fine to have the current structure since the GTD prize is way bigger than the actual buy ins
but I'm afraid that the current structure will remain in the biggest tourneys like the 3000 GTD
it doesn't make sense when the pay jump from 5th to 4th is bigger than 4th to 3rd
for example if 5th place will take 10 chips and 4th 15 , then 3rd should at least win 20 or more not 16 chips or anything between

Asked the same question some pages before and am just copy/pasting the answer I got from Fortunejack:


"If you click on chips you will see the pop up giving you the information about the rake. Namely, the dealer doesn't receive any the rake if the pot does not consist of 1mbtc. However, if the pot is over 1mbtc the dealer receives 0.04mbtc on each 1mbtc ."

Just for some heads up about the 3BTC GTD tournament, there are only 7 players registered as of now and it needs 3 more players for the match to run. Im very sure that the 150 mbtc GTD tournament twice everyday for 0.5 mbtc buy in is sure a very great deal as well but people just dont realize that. It needs 20 player however with 50k satoshi you have a chance to win huge amount . If it is hard to get enough player for the 150 mbtc GTD perhaps it would be better to split it into 75 mbtc GTD for 0.5 mbtc buy in and run it 4 times a day , that cost the same as the previous just with less player requirement
