Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

There's two types of bitcoiners. Those that get their confidence from observation and deduction - pattern recognition in short - and those that rely on others for their confidence.

Independent Bitcoin confidence is a reflection of intellectual confidence.

Which type are you?

Yeah all those that feel you missed the boat are missing the big picture.  Try and be more open minded, and appreciate the interest going into Bitcoin is just getting started.  At some point the bears flipped the script and they are the ones converting people to follow their way of seeing things.  Bitcoin believers don't go as far as the bears these days in my opinon, and to me it says alot about how far we've come.  Wink

We got to the point where Bitcoin can't disappear, which is great. The infrastructure is built and a lot of people and industries are using it.

"I missed on the boat to be a pioneer on world changing, disruptive technology."

They're not necessarily mad because they missed the boat, but they're also just afraid to put money into Bitcoin. But if it never actually took off, they also wouldn't have gained anything, so they just stay out of it and hope that no one profits from it. Simple as that Smiley

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

I wouldn't say you have missed out totally, just because bitcoin seems to be staying at a low right now does not mean we will not see something happen any time soon even if it is a small rise.

Yeah, but it's what they perceive. After all, past performance is no indicator or guarantee for future performance! They're afraid to get on board now, and rather hope for Bitcoin to fail, so they made the 'right decision, anyways'

"I missed on the boat to be a pioneer on world changing, disruptive technology."

That's what I said back in the summer of 2011. The $30 bubble and I was flat out wrong. The Chinese overbought bitcoin, they're dumping it and ontop of that they're mining it for dirt cheap and dumping those as well. Also this paypal/ebay thing is bad news. It creates tremendous sell pressure with no buy pressure.
