I've had warranty issues w/ these fuckers before and they were less than helpful so I basically told them I'm going back to the PC instead. But, I guess this is great for those that can't snap out of the Apple spell.

Apple Pay is still built on top of the same old credit card payment networks and banking system. Bitcoin is therefore well-positioned to enhance Apple Pay over the long run through its integration behind the scenes, providing merchants lower costs and instant access to their funds.

Even Apple finds the big opportunity on payment transaction processing network. It built on top of old infrastructure and make it easy accept. It will bridge the gap to higher advantage payment infrastructure BTC.

I have to say that apple will surely find its share of the market and it will be a competition to bitcoin. However, I can also see an opportunity here: now someone has to create a service to fund apple pay with btc and vice versa.
