The withdrawal system has been updated so that if a withdrawal transaction does not go through because of any new (previously unhandled) error, balance will remain synchronized. Sorry about the delay this has caused.

And how are you compensating customers for their losses due to these issues? I have lost a lot! The withdrawal balance does not remain syncronized! How do you explain this? http://puu.sh/j4ByU/92d2cabd78.png

Please try again, we just synchronized your balance. Sorry about the delay.

Hi,

I would expect you to compensate them for the losses due to the bug. Why are you ignoring that entire part?

where can i logout and change user?

You can do this by entering an arbitrary secret in the URL. The system will put an error page that has a link for generating a new user.

hmm it seems the issues spreading to more and more slacky is particularly affected did the PR say anything :O if multiple members are reporting the same issue this could be a major signal of something much worse...

90BTC of players already lost if we count these 2 reports alone. Not everyone posts here either. It is pretty bad already. Sad

I doubt if SD will refund those who lost due to the inability to resist the betting hormone. Wink

Satoshi Dice uses three levels of storage for funds:

First, there's the hot wallet. The hot wallet funds can quickly be depleted because investors can withdraw hundreds of coins and highrollers can win equally large amounts. Both betting volume and investor activity increased recently, bringing the hot wallet to zero.

Secondly, there's a cold storage that is used to trim or fill the hot wallet. This storage was too small to fill the hot wallet during the weekend.

And third, we have an offline cold storage that can't be accessed by any admin. Access to this storage could unfortunately not be accessed during this weekend, leaving the hot wallet without funds.

We can't add funds for people that were unable to withdraw and lost their balance by betting. These funds were already credited to investors. However we have noticed the increase of highrollers and activity and will increase the hot wallet size in order for it to be able to handle more.

Note to investors: The profit compared to the expected value for investors is still above 100% (last checked at Profit/EV: 106.7% as can be seen on http://dicesites.com/satoshidice )

There's transactions made for 100 BTC to the hot wallet. They now need a confirmation before our software considers the balance spendable. Everyone that wants to withdraw will be able to do so in a few minutes.

The fault is on your part. When withdrawing you didn't show the appropriate message (in the least), and confused players into thinking that betting and winning is the only way forward.

Players who lost because of the bug deserves to be compensated nevertheless. Just because some players might have made a profit because of your bug, isn't a satisfactory defense.

Am I reading this sentences correctly that it seems the PR of SatoshiDice seem to be mocking the players ? Whoever posted this should be fired because A huge gambling site like SatoshiDice shouldnt be using such a bad wordings like this. Basically this wordings indicates that the house had absolute zero fault on this and blame it all to the player. This "error" is in fact because of the house and the house should compensate it but rather what I am seeing is that the PR is mocking the players and blaming them.

If there are bets that you think you didnt do my guess is someone has used your account. I did notice a few pages back you posted a screenshot which had your secret address in it. Never give this out.
Im sorry to say but i dont think you have much chance of getting this back

fk yes i see...but i have password.....if anyone here enter to my account for withdrawal need my passsword...i think... why play my 11 btc in one time? fucking idiot who enter to my account and play for loose...how much won this idiot? nothing, only give me more loose to me...now i need a new account right?

The error is most likely another bug.

The gap between Round Initiated and Round Completed, shouldn't be more than 1-5 seconds.

But in this case it took 50 minutes for the roll to happen?  Shocked

(Adding that, the previous roll is numbered #27441590 coming just before the roll number of the 11 BTC bet, (ref: https://satoshidice.com/roll/27441591), further strengthens the observation.
Generally, the player does not have the time to change that bet amount and odds that fast.)

i want to know return me this or not... come on answer me i never bet this bet !!

We will probably have to wait another two weeks from them now to hear back from them... Oh well i have time, and i will be arguing my case over and over again.

Right you are!

I am just wondering where Dooglus, Quickseller, NLNico, shorena, Dean and Stunna are right now? If there is just a small thing on our site they would already jumped on it.

I am pretty sure they won't give SD accounts any neg rates. Something is biased the forum, that's why the most reliable dice site-dadice has -32 neg rate but others have poor services without any neg rates.

I'm just catching up on this thread.

This is a tricky issue. It's pretty standard practice not to refund bets I think. Other than the 11 BTC bet nobody seems to be disputing the fact that they gambled and lost. The question is whether the site should pay for the losses from their own pocket because the bets wouldn't have been made if the withdrawal had gone through.

I think in the event that it was simply a hot wallet issue, it's pretty clear. Hot wallets run out occasionally. Players can't expect sites to refund bets made just because the hot wallet was empty. But this case is murkier. There was a bug on the site with made the players think that their coins were already lost, customer support weren't responding to emails or on this thread and so the players apparently felt like their only chance of getting their coins back was to carry on playing. I think if it was me I would have given customer support more time to respond to me, rather than continuing to play, and I don't know what the right thing would be for the site to do. I hope the site compensates the players for this bug and generally steps up its game.

Edit: I notice SatoshiDice is accepting "investment" from players now. Is the cold wallet address and list of investment amounts published? And if not, why not?

morning!

yes they have a public cold wallet, but it took nico and me numerou times of asking about it, before they finally set something up.

check dicesites.com or directly https://blockchain.info/address/18e5jpfn9zo9GQov1Ks9Pzh6Yam2SvFqqo, however, so far it never held more than 50% of the total investment on site.

They do have cold wallet addresses:

https://blockchain.info/address/18e5jpfn9zo9GQov1Ks9Pzh6Yam2SvFqqo
https://blockchain.info/address/1GBEAxb91tea1magDAQoKnjx18oH4ax2T3

Claimed invested amount is 1,508 BTC so that makes the cold wallets (1,350 BTC) 90% of the BR, which seems fair enough (bit more always better though.)

shitaifan2013 is correct that my site only shows 50%. Unfortunately ATM I only have 1 cold wallet address support on my site and need to add the possibility for more addresses (:

Other then that, I mostly have seen complaints about very slow support when bugs happen. Eventually -so far- AFAIK the issues have been solved though (with sometimes extra compensation.) So hope this will be the case for the latest complaints too - although I have no idea what really happened with information from 1 side obviously.
