You should probably start figuring out a way to prevent this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130764

Thanks, while we investigate that we are switching to confirmed bets only.  I hope that will be temporary.

I've set it to allow unconfirmed as long as they have a fee and are based on confirmed inputs.

I'll try some more tonight, when you say as long as they have a fee, is there a minimum amount for that fee? (0.0005BTC) I.E. sending a transaction with a fee of one satoshi wouldn't count right?

Correct, a 0.0005 BTC fee.

I'll test a bet with 100 inputs tonight, which should require ~0.01 fee, but send it with only a 0.0005 fee, and try to double spend it.

Got too busy and didn't have the time. But I'm still curious of the scenario above.

What's going on? I often see a bunch of 0.00000001 bets, seems it's flooding the system, my legit bets isn't getting process as fast after the spams come in.

my legit bets isn't getting process as fast after the spams come in.

They are making some changes due to some recent activity, as described in another thread:

Primarily, bets without a fee are now not accepted,

I'm thinking "not accepted" really means "not accepted until the wager transaction has one confirmation".

That is correct. I should be more specific.

A bet that appears to us as possibly not confirming soon due to lack of a fee or unknown unconfirmed parent transactions will not be processed until we see it confirmed.

One of the databases is running low on free space so we are taking an outage to upgrade it.  Transactions won't be processed for a little while and the website might stop showing information.

I'm not sure how long this will take, probably somewhere between 15 minutes and 4 hours.

Most of the big wins were 5 BTC bets on the 1.5% and 3% odds.

I hate you and hope you die

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll have a weak moment and give some of it back!

That is why you should avoid playing against the house who have direct interest that players lose. I believe P2P gambling will eliminate these greedy casinos, at least in the Bitcoin world which is decentralized by its nature.

Not following your logic there. Are you saying SatoshiDice cheats? Can you prove it, or are you just spreading FUD because of your own personal beliefs? You should make your position a little clearer, and if you are implying that SatoshiDice is not playing by their own rules you'd best have some proof.

Btw, humour detection circuit malfunction much?

I never said that SatoshiDICE cheats! I just reminded that any casino set rules in the way to make players lose and don't like if someone wins. Negative expected value is 100% legitimate and may be OK for the people who are unaware of maths, but I would never play in these casinos, IMHO.

No you didn't, so I was probably reading too much into the post.

legitimate and may be OK for the people who are unaware of maths, but I would never play in these casinos, IMHO.

I also wouldn't gamble long term when the expected return is less than zero. There are some use cases however - if the cash you have is less than you need in order to buy your next meal, then the loss of that cash in gambling is not a negative outcome for the player (unless excessive gambling caused the player to be in such dire straits). In general however I agree with you.

So that brings us to you quoting "I hate you and hope you die" to back up your point. Since you're not implying that SD cheats, you must have missed the humour in the post.

Anyway, don't respond. I hate you and hope you die.
