BTC
Updates on SatoshiDICE.com
  • We have solved the delay problems that the classic Satoshi Dice game was suffering from. Bets are now usually processed within a minute. We will optimize further to make the processing even faster within a few days.
  • We have reinstated the longpoll.php. You can see the HOW TO PLAY -> ADVANCED TIPS to the how this script may help your betting bot.
  • The fee on payouts is now set to 0.0001 instead of 0.0005.
  • Our Twitter account at https://twitter.com/SatoshiDICE is now posting a tweet every time there's a big win. 1Em7BbCw was lucky and won 290+ Bitcoins within acouple of minutes yesterday!

Hi! wanted to know when they will rise again betting the maximum. Since I got into satoshislot and lost 140 btc. I want them back on this site. I've done better here. I Won 650 btc in 2 months.. Thanks and hopefully soon upload maximum bets
I remember someone betting large on the low odds a couple of months ago (may/June); like 0.5 on 1.5% and 2 BTC on the 6% etc. That person was getting pretty lucky with the amount he was hitting considering he was betting a lot. If I remember correctly the profit that address made was in the region of 600 BTC so was that you? One of of the addresses used was https://blockchain.info/address/15GPjviasjMD8QJvMTs5qYsB8wtQLQGBtP but for some reason the charts are blocked.

If I was, 15gp and 1em7 and 1jtda. But stop playing when the maximum bets down. And play almost no sense. I was not very lucky, often lost btc 200 and the next day recovering and sometimes not ... But generally if I gained 800 btc total.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I believe the site has a low bankroll at this moment.
The 9.1553% bet has a max bet of only 0.0103 btc. There is no way the site can offer 0.0015% bet while keeping the min bet at 0.01 btc.

currently it's 0.0444 on the 9.1553% and the lowest odd you can play is 0.0103 on the 2.2888%. It changes depending if people win or loose but it still remains ridiculously low.

lol. I'm guessing that this isn't the new site (SatoshiDiceVip.com)  Cheesy

I especially like their spelling Grin

On a serious note, they are spamming the addresses that recently bet on SD: https://blockchain.info/tx/1ba02eee917c8a629d48cc21b2c64d38825cf0c649a7743ee853b6242150b4e9. Besides the spelling they can't even get the spamming right since they could be spamming with much less.

It is a new site. And I think the who made it got their name wrong.

Looks like they just copied the text from SD without even changing those "SatoshiDice" to their own site name.  Cheesy

What happened to satoshidice? Why do no people bet there anymore?

1. they do, just not very much

2. the house edge is almost twice that of any other dice site (1.9% vs 1%)

3. the maximum bet sizes have dropped off significantly

4. the range of bets available has been cut

5. the site hasn't kept up with innovations in dicing:

5a. betting is on-chain and slow
5b. bet verification involves waiting until the end of the day for the secret to be revealed
5c. other sites allow you to specify your own odds; sd still has a very limited list of odds
5d. other sites allow you to bet 'high' or 'low'. sd still only lets you bet 'low'
5e. there's no on-site chat, so there's less of a feeling of community around the site

It's hard to say which of these are most significant, but they probably all play a part. It seems like the site was just left to die, even before it was sold for a huge number of BTC.

I am trying to understand how does a satoshidice draw work.

As far as i have understood sd generates daily two public hashes:

HMAC hash
Position hash

You can check https://www.satoshidice.com/files/daily-secret-hash.txt all the HMAC and Position Hashes up to 31.10.2014 has been released. Why did they do this, if the hashes were only released the day after the draws?

If the draw is calculated using next formula:

Resulting String = hmac_sha512(daily_secret, "tx_id:out_index")

If someone gets tx_id:out_index they could be used to win bets unfairly as the daily_secret and positions have already been released, am i right?
