dont think I have a runtime error. The wallet just never opened at all (after the loading screen) without any error message. Win8 64.

I tried to run the wallet in compatibility mode for win7 and it seems to work now. I should have tired that before posting, sorry.

No worries, even better i add this tip in "how to fix bugs" (Part 12 of the Opal guide) and in opaltalk ( http://opaltalk.org/t/opal-guidebooks-and-tutorials/30/6 ), (i knew i forgot something big to fix... )

Thank you Smiley

How long did you wait with the loading screen ? because this loading screen may stay 1 or 2 minutes before the wallet opening

Did you try the compatibility mode for win7 ?

Also did your opalcoin.conf look like that:
Code:
addnode=46.165.209.144
addnode=54.64.155.117
addnode=79.32.104.81
addnode=192.241.222.102
addnode=173.199.124.185
addnode=65.30.37.95

Finally check your firewall or security suite, maybe it blocks the wallet.

hope this helps !

what are the names of all your Visual C++ Redistributable Packages ?

[here] Finally, save your wallet.dat and your new opalcoin.conf delete your opalcoin folder (Users\YourUsername\Appdata\roaming\Opalcoin) download a new one and retry, at this point you should have a stable wallet.

Are you serious? If you haven't already bought, then you should. Read the OP and it will be very clear. And the price will climb steadily this week and settle around 6k sats by the weekend. I would buy now otherwise you will pay 2x more this weekend.

Dedicated devs, major advances, great community, part of SuperNet, etc, etc. The list of awesomeness is just to long to list. This is a long term coin though FYI.

https://www.npmjs.com/package/node-opalcoin

We will soon have a bounty for applications built on the opal network

Nice, this will surely bring some great innovations.

Keep up the great work.
