Is there any plans to include a marketplace for opal. Not a black market but a white market.
Yeah I would like to know about this too, it looks like whitj is either sarcastic or not drug-friendly  any implementation of white market without the actual censorship would be interesting, but I cant think of a way how to implement that. Ya know, the happy talk karma whores like dark can suck the Big One. Half-baked crypto "markets" are a dime a dozen.... And while Tor dark markets are doing 7 figures in business (however you may feel about them)... I don't know of any decentralized market that's not limping along at 4 figures/day... Even the NXT AE had several days this week where TOTAL volume was about $2,500. There are fundamental structural problems with decentralized markets that no one is willing to talk about... It's all fairies and unicorns and gimme a another million $$$ for a Raspberry Pi mesh network Asset... The only forum I see anything resembling critical analysis is BitShares... and they are always struggling due to massive overhead. So, hey gang, let's tack on a "market" so people can hawk t-shirts and trinkets... Because every other thing has gone wrong... or was a bad idea... or is in endless limbo... or on vacation. Oh, BTW... We are in the biggest Alt bull market in 12 months... You gotta be really special bad and illiquid and irrelevant to be tanking in Jun-Jul 2015. You're not allowed to make negative observations here. the bagholders will rubbish your opinions without actually giving any intelligent counter argument. I don't think they made the college debate team. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Any Alt Coin can create a Bull market, the devs just buy and sell to themselves. The smart devs don't give hints to you as to what is going on, they don't just dump on you and do their profiting over time, they trap your low buys and sell to themselves then buy up again to make you move your positions. Have fun in those BS markets! Only service oriented coins will survive, coins with service oriented functionality behind them. I always love when people don't get that the only thing stabilizing coins now are their hopes to get rich, since they hold and wait till the price goes up and put their buys in lower. The fact that the coin is at a low price means it is not manipulated by devs. Any Dev who wanted their coin to be substantial could do this easily and even manage it with bots. They make very cheap coin during PoW and then take some BTC and buy up to a good level to sustain, meanwhile they own the BTC in the other account that they bought the Alt Coin with and they also own the Alt Coin to place sells with and get your BTC. When you see stagnation in a coin it most likely means the devs are honest, and these devs are hardworking, and deserve a vacation. I hope they put all the naysayers back into their place when they return! |

I don't think we will hit 500 sat, this would happen only in case of serious unresolved blockchain issues (or 1 year of dropping prices). In my experience the price of the coin is determined primarily by distribution, which is directly related to blockchain age. Take a look at LTC. The price is low at start, because trust needs to be established.
I understand that some people may be disgruntled, but I think that the main reason is the disillusionment in terms of new feature implementations, so if there is any issue, it might be PR-related.
OPAL is a small coin and it will remain that way unless the new features are implemented or new processes put in place, but I can hardly see that as an issue.

Now I am enjoying catching up on the fud fest going on, but I'm not sure how well it's working out for you.
Your wasting your time trying to scare out for cheap coins with these lame attempts at shaking opal holders..
Sorry, normally I don't pay attention to fud, but really I don't understand attacking a coin.
Especially, when one works to support it's users.

Obviously, we're not all on vacation and there was an announcement, but I guess shapeshift.io isn't a big deal. It's not like having more exchange acceptance helps use or commercial viability. As far as price goes, I really wonder if Bitcoin devs get yelled at about the price of there coin like the have control of it. If this were an ICO I would totally feel like price was a responsibility, but Opal was NEVER an ICO so we pay for development ourselves. We put in our own time and money and apparently if we don't do this 24/7 its "total bullshit". I'm sorry I let you down. I will set something up to keep you price hounds happy. |

If you buy from the markets the price will move up. I always buy from the markets and I was going to pay in Opal for some graphics work to then go and buy a ton and boost up the price again. Most likely the person I send the Opal to would not sell either... I couldn't sell at these prices anyways only buy more to hedge |

Since I saw you on the Circuits thread I been buying a few opal here and there from the bids. I have patience so hopefully it will pay off down the road. |
