Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Agreed. Advocacy for any manner of shady stuff, and blatant lies and FUD to beat down anyone that tickles his fancy.

+1 fully supported. He is especially annoying in the marketplace section, where he trolls like a dick.

See, guys, the interesting thing is that only 3 of his posts were ever reported, one of which was after this thread was made. It's extremely easy to stop this from getting out of hand if you just click that report button...

Indeed, it's hard to catch new trolls like that, especially when they stick to the marketplace. With all the threads and subforums there it's hard to keep on top of it.

And the troll's selling damn cheap stuff here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79052.0. I've a hunch he might be either newdude due to the $300 for $500 GC's, or Xanax(and his pseudonyms that sold 'social engineered' stuff ). See what he posted some time ago:

I had a friend that called in a replacement on one of the serial numbers on a bestbuy display. They sent him a brand new mouse/keyboard. Is this what youre doing?

Yes, I can also order you bulk iPhones, Kindles, Roku, and many other products, very cheap, fast shipping.

I'm not questioning your judgment guys, but I am not seeing it. I looked at the first couple of pages of his recent posts. They were not outrageous or anything? What did he do?

How about this one:

^^ That was a straight up lie.

Some of the more interesting ones seem to have disappeared recently.

That is being kinda stupid. Just open mouth and let unformed thoughts spill out. But maybe he is just a kid or something.  We could try being nice to him and point out his mistakes graciously.
I dislike trolls as much as anyone, but before baning him we should be sure his intentions are malicious rather than ignorant.

The recent posts are after his temporary ban (see the gap in post dates?), so yes he has chilled out a bit.

He has edited some newer posts if I'm not wrong. His oldest posts are outright trolling.

I've never seen the report button. I am waiting for this guy to scam someone. He just spammed posts and then magically started buying stuff, which turned into selling high dollar items.

While this is against me, I didn't take offense and just found it humorous: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=76739.msg857126#msg857126

I can sell plastic cases with cheap electronic inside too.
They're very easy to manufacture, much less than 1 BTC

Good luck with sales though my friend, you are good man.

Please do not ban me, I want to be a helpful member. I was only warning other members of potential scams. I have never scammed anyone, I am not that type of person.

I have done several successful transactions, if you want, I can provide you the usernames of the buyers/sellers (if they wish to be revealed, of course).

I may be involved in what may be considered 'shady' stuff, but I do not do any of this on Bitcointalk, I have other forums for this.

Guys, just for future reference, when you see obvious troll posts like this, don't respond to it. Just report it. For every one of Nyaaan's posts that I've deleted, I've had to delete 5-10 more posts by other people. If nobody has responded to the post, fine, but only one person needs to do that. Because of you guys, Nyaaan successfully derailed every thread he posted in. Good job.

Shocked you cant be serious. comparing gameboy cartridges to random circuit boards with electronics in them? claiming you can get a refurbished ipod touch (4 gen) from apple for ~$80? you were outright lying.
