Sold the last coins at approx. that price in April.

Unless some really good news comes in probably gonna buy back in around a years time at 200. Or during a capitulation phase, if that happens earlier.

I sold all my bitcoins at 16$ in summer 2011 after buying at 32$ in June 2011. Since then I have promised myself to not sold (ie. exchanging against fiat) again a bitcoin, ever.

That was a tough lesson, I'm also an hodler because of bad trades in the past.

Who wishes they had bought bitcoin when it was $540 or so?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=642807.0

so who has bought above 400euro, how did it feel?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=337951.0

It looks like $700 is the new $150

Weak hands sold at 450  and will likely buy back in at a loss.  Sad to see but atleast their weren't a ton of people following suit and jumping off the proverbial cliff.  I got only once question for all the weak hands that panic sold hoping to buy back lower or just simply lost faith. Do you even lift bro?

I had a friend buy his first 4 BTC at around the same price. I won't let him sell until 10k now. Bitcoin rewards patience.

Bla bla permabulltard blubb.

The point was: who sold at 450 is an idiot. The point was not who sold at 2$ is an idiot. But permabulls are thick as a brick.

Do you know if or when I will buy in/back? At which price I sold? No?  So then...

Infrastructure can't wait.

All business around Bitcoin are selling by current price.

Just think you are open kind of E-Shop with virtual E-goods, for example domain names.
You are re-seller anyway. You take 0.5 Bitcoin, push domain name to the one buyer, you need next one domain name for the next buyer. Where do you plan to take a Dollars for this domain name to re-sell it? You must sell your Bitcoins, it is closed circuit.

Just for this time, infrastructure not so big. No such movement yet. There is too low activity in commercial sector. Risky, force majeure, additionally it is wild dynamic of BTC price. 0$ -> 1k $ -> 500$ -> 400$ -> ? who will predict?

I'm sure there are thousands of people who are forced to sell on the down trend..... Bear eats....

$320? When did this happen?

the only time i can think of (recently) was BTC-E -- they had that margin cascade down to $309. very lucky people who had the foresight to be placing such low bids to catch that. Smiley

Yes the old sell back and buy back lower. Genius. Obvious in hindsight. Except that it only works until it doesn't because you don't actually know what the bitcoin price will do in the future. It's guesswork and if everyone did it then there would be no value anywhere.

It's called trading. Yeah, I know that's an alien for cultists treating Bitcoin as a religion.

If Bitcoin makes a rise about 111,79% while I'm sleeping your buy and hodl strategy has kicked me in the eggs. Good luck with that.

In 10 years you'll look back at threads like this and laugh. Literally crying about how this or that sold at what will look like mere market noise in the all time graph.

There's no guarantee that btc price will go up in the next 10 years. In fact, it can go down to pennies. Remember, what goes up, must come down.

History is a good indicator also fundamentals. What has changed since the last price spikes? BTC had quiet periods before bubbles before so thats not a reason to dismiss it now.

if you look at the all-time chart you can see that bitcoin is actually rising(average rising) every day by a few cent, if this trend continue, bitcoin is aiming at going up and not certainly down

Exactly, picking out arbitrary time frame from the peak @ end of 2013 until now is a bad way to view the situation. Watch this video it explains future price movements:

most people don't see that as they are mostly focussed on the very short term. they are interested in instant profits only. not in the long term picture.

I've seen worse. Some people were buying GOX accounts when they went down for the first time in Spring 2014. I think they were paying 1:2 for every GOX coin you had.

I sold around 60% of all my gox coins (wasn't much). @ between 60cents on the dollar and 40cents. I still think it was a good deal. The last few coins in there are a gamble on the bankruptcy proceedings.

People who are selling now is in a emotional state, based off only recent sell off.

So what if goes back up? I remember long ago, I sold mine at $100 value, and this is when it spiked upwards of 4 digits. Yeah, it may due to a mt.gox event, but exclude that there was other positive news, and could of made a good free $300 profit at lowest.

For those that lost, look at the positive side: You are here and are familiar with cryptocurrency technology way before the 99% of plebs catches up. Still endless possibilities to make it.

Then why didn't you act accordingly and bought back?

Anyone who sold at $500 are laughing right now cause they could of lost $300 potential profit.

Thats such a huge difference, thats like extra $300 would be a free iphone or almost half of rent covered for free however you want to translate it.

At this point the coin is at a selling point non stop.
