Do anyone here know how much power one of the DragonMint T1 miners use in a full day? I know it will vary slightly based on setups, but I can't even find rough estimates. Even the spec sheet I found only lists the useage of the fans, I'm interested in the whole unit's useage. Thanks in advance for your help

At the wall power consumption of with DragonMint 1600W PSU and dual fans 1480W  @ 240Vat ambient temperature 25°C. Variation of ±8% is expected.
Source: https://halongmining.com/shop/dragonmint-16t-miner/

So to your question:
1,480(kW) x 24 (hours in day) = 35.5 kWh (whole day consumption)

P.S. The 1480W is complete miner consumption (they mention the fans just because it's possible to remove them and use your own which apparently can change the consumption).
1480W fans would suck you in if you get too close

Thanks for your help and the link. So at that rate I'd use about 10,700kwh per month. And at .09/kwh I'm looking at a $1000/mth electric bill for one T1 miner.
Definitely can't to afford to start mining with Asics just yet. Maybe I'll start with gpu's or fpga.

35.5kWh ∙ 30Days = 1065kwH per Month for a single T1 Miner, where did 10,700kWh came from?

Perhaps, this? (1,480):
1,480(kW) x 24 (hours in day) = 35.5 kWh (whole day consumption)
Some members are using comma (,) instead of dots (.) in decimals which is confusing, IMO.
Or he just mistyped (kW) instead of (W).

Yea, I mess it up by using both comma and dot as decimal separator in single equasion. It's definitely confusing. Sorry about that.
Correct should be:
1.48(kW) x 24 (hours in day) = 35.5 kWh  or
1,48(kW) x 24 (hours in day) = 35,5 kWh

So in one month the T1 eats around 1065 kWh -> which is around $100 monthly at OPs el. price.

@OP: as of GPU mining it's more or less the same case.
nevertheless few advantages
- GPUs can be used to mine more algos so you have more options where to use it.
- you most probably find a buyer for used GPU easier than for an old ASIC (in case you decide to cease you mining operation)

Wow, I've never been so glad to have made a math mistake. Not exactly sure where I went wrong, probably in a conversation, but thanks for catching it. That's much more realistic and feasible. Still, you do bring up a good point about gpu's being more versatile and resellable
