Going to try to sell little bit's of bitcoin through dwolla.
(I know they are under fire around here)

Couple of things that will be different about this is you don't get your bitcoins all at once. Think of this as the paid version of the bitcoin faucet. We will dribble bits of bitcoin daily to you till your full amount you paid in is reached. We think this can help in a few ways:

  • Hopefully, help against fraud because the perp will have to wait forever before they get the full amount so there is little incentive
    to go with us.
  • Over time we think "group buying of bitcoins" leads to you getting more bitcoins in the long run. We hope to give you more bitcoins then
    you paid for.
  • Allows you to always have small bits of bitcoin at your finger tips ( might even help control your urge to spend it all!)

There are probably some other benefits we haven't seen yet. Also, being able to sell via credit cards looking into that.

We know there has been many before us who have tried to sell bitcoins and it hasn't worked out to well  for them but we wanted to get some feedback from you all on your thoughts about this. We pretty much have it all set up but can easily ditch the idea if it seems it won't work.

Thanks for any feedback!
Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

To be honest we are going to figure out another way to make money or at the very least the fee will be very small. Good question though.

Good service is worth paying for, if you come up with something people want/need just charge them for it. Especially when it is money related people want to see that you can prosper by playing it straight. MyBitcoin.com offered a nice free service... for a while.

I bet some people would be interested in having you automatically dollar cost average over the month for them. You take the lump up front and dish out coins you buy each day at the market rate.

If you could take CC and set yourself up like those gym memberships you might really have something. Maybe even start buying coins for people after a week or longer wait.

A ton of people on a bitcoin drip sounds good to me.

Basically, it comes down to what you just mention.  If a service has the right customer care and provide a good trusted service the rest should fall in line. Might even do it as a gratuity service in the likes of IBB model.

You basically wrote out exactly how we are going to do this  Smiley.  We plan on doing dollar cost average over the month also if we buy bitcoins cheaper then you would have bought them we are all ahead in the game still but yes dollar cost average wins out in this.

We take the lump of cash up front and go buy bitcoins in crates and put the rest on automatic. We were thinking the same thing regarding your "gym membership" way in that people can subscribe monthly via CC.

The great thing about extending out the time the bitcoins come out in the drip it lets us know how much inventory ahead of time and can plan accordingly and/or shut off someone who is cheating.  One other aspect is we are able to adjust the % of bitcoins your receive daily based on your trustworthiness.  So in other words:

Joe  has made reliable payments/non-chargebacks so we bump the amount of his bitcoins to 80 percent so on and so on thus he receives more. All this is already plugged in.

If we find someone who isn't as reliable they are given a different scale of trustworthiness.

Your feedback is invaluable FreeMoney thanks!

How about emailing people, say, every week saying something like:
Quote
Dear Bob,
So far we have paid you 1BTC of the 20 you ordered.
We are currently paying you in lots of 0.2BTC.
Thank you for using (name),

I do like this idea. Sort of an update on the payouts I think I'll include this.
