Everyone,

I am happy to announce the launch of http://www.bitcoinadvertisers.com/ the easiest and best way to ADVERTISE YOUR WEBSITE for bitcoins and EARN BITCOINS for hosting ads on your site.

* Our ads are TEXT ONLY, the industry leading trend and user preferred way of viewing ads online.

* YOU get paid every .25btc worth of clicks on your website (anti-click fraud measures are in place, abuse the system get banned, very simple).

* We charge a 1% fee per for this service, which is extremely low and comparable to other services out there.

* We are ACTIVELY developing new formats and features into the site, let me know by PM what you would like or through the contact form and we will do our best to meet your needs.

I am extremely excited about this site because as a long time bitcoin business owner, now I have the means to professionally and easily advertise my businesses in a professional and easy to use manner.

This site is NEW so if you have any problems or questions, etc, please let me know and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Andrew

hi andrew, i added this to my website but then quickly removed it as i thought it looked a bit messy:

if it appeared centered properly, and if 'BitcoinAdvertisers.com' wasn't sliced off at the bottom, that might help.

i tried again, this time modifying the generated code to have border:1px solid #cccccc instead so at least it now appears to be centered: http://payb.tc

your domain is still cut off though (in chrome)

thanks!

also andrew, on your preview page, it would be good if you displayed the ad how it will actually appear...

as it is currently it's not as helpful, imho.

I agree, that is the next step is to add a preview page to confirm or re-edit the ad.  Hope to have done within week.

Also I may ban adult themed ads until we can add a adult content filter, if anyone else wants me to do this let me know.  I have already received one request for this.

Send that person over to us  Grin  We will be doing adult theme advertising  so send them over to: http://www.sexybitcoinads.com  -  opening Monday.

Within the ad, the link to bitcoinadvertisers.com needs to break out of the frame, not stay inside it.

Yes, I am thinking along the lines of making a separate queue for image based ads in the future so that publishers that prefer text only ads can keep it that way.  I don't have a specific time frame for that in mind, if more people demand that feature I will add it sooner.
I'd appreciate it greatly.

I'm curious what the algorithm is for which ads get put up and when. If I had to take a guess it looks something like this:

CTR x bidA = a

CTR x bidB = b

CTR x bidC = c

and so on. The largest wins.

So, let's say company A has a CTR of 0.053 and a bid of 0.003 BTC per click. It would be

0.053 x 0.003 = 0.000159

Let's say company B has a CTR of 0.046 and a bid of 0.0035 BTC per click. It would be

0.046 x 0.0035 = 0.000161

Therefore, company B would have their ad placed instead of company A. Even though their CTR was lower it was more than made up for because they pay a higher amount per click. And company B's ads will keep getting impressions instead of company A until either the CTR of company B lowers, or the bid of company A increases. Am I correct or is there a different algorithm?

Hi. Great service, although I had a problem when creating an ad.

I paid for 30 clicks but after a while the Payment Status just said Internal Server Error or some other server error, however refreshing the page gave me a whole new deposit address and presumably, a new order.

There's no page that I can see to go back and confirm that my first order went through okay.

If you can check, the ad was for http://BitcoinRPS.com and the transaction has many confirmations now.

Thank you.

There is no intention of changing this at this time.
Oh, OK, I just thought you would possibly be wanting people to visit your site when they click the link. But if you wish to clear away the ad and leave a blank white space for them to stare at, that is fine with me too. Anytime I see one, I just click it and poof, no more ads. Quite considerate, actually.

andrew, rjk speaks the truth... you need to put something like target="_top" or target="_blank" in the href for BitcoinAdvertisers.com

otherwise, you're not going to grow your organic traffic.

I gotta say.. you guys have the best ad service out there.

Today I was tasked with an advertising campaign for WTCR.ca (buy computer components with bitcoin online!!!) and I was testing each service to see which service would bring me the most traffic.

I am using Operation Fabulous, FeedZeBirds, BitcoinAdvertisers, DailyBitcoins, and AnonymousAds.

Still waiting on my Op-Fab & DailyBitcoins deposits, FeedZeBirds is having problems, AnonymousAds worked great but traffic is pretty low, and with BitcoinAdvertisers I already have 2000 impressions!!

That ultra-fast deposit time is excellent, and the traffic you get!?!  BOOM, love the site.  Hopefully some customers will buy products from the store as well!

Have you considered making BitcoinAdvertisers on the GLBSE?  I'd buy stock.  Forgive me if this was previously mentioned.

AnonymousAds worked great but traffic is pretty low, and with BitcoinAdvertisers I already have 2000 impressions!!

How do you measure traffic? Anonymous Ads doesn't count impressions from the same IP more than 1 time during 24 hours (according to internal logs it gives about 10 times more impressions than it shows in stats).

Unlike other services, AA doesn't pay per click or per impression, thus publishers don't have incentive for generating fake clicks and impressions (they don't get paid for it).

What's your ad # at anonymous ads? Smiley

there are no advertisers or publishers on throughads, that is a poor business proposition.
I just noticed them too, checked 'em out, looks promising but I think it needs more publishers first before it can reel in the traffic Smiley

Smiley
I'd like to know this too. How can we be sure that you aren't gaming your own system to inflate its perceived popularity?

i have to say i agree with other negative sentiments expressed...

so i've decided to remove the script from payb.tc until andrew bitcoiner turns his aggressive marketing personality down a couple of notches.

(thanks for the bit cents paid so far)

Can you please separate adult content into at least two different categories? As a publisher I am perfectly happy to link to gambling sites, but I'm not interested in porn sites.
This change has now been made.  Cheesy

Thank you very much!

Lovely isn't it. I second the boycott aspect of this. He clearly has no intention of apologizing to people who had planned on using his service.

I think what he meant there was that if you actually go and click the http://bitcoinstarter.com/ link in your signature, you get this:
Code:
Index of /

Apache/2.2.21 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0e PHP/5.3.8 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1 Server at bitcoinstarter.com Port 80

Which is probably something that should be fixed, no?

Have you considered making BitcoinAdvertisers on the GLBSE?  I'd buy stock.  Forgive me if this was previously mentioned.

Seconded.

Keep the votes coming  Smiley I was offered one buyout opportunity already but I am willing to work more to see this fruition into a vibrant and active company with staff and revenue.  I have ten years of startup and advertising business experience and believe I have the skills to make this happen.

Your site currently says that a person could earn ~2 mBTC per click, but the bid price right now is ~0.02 BTC. Shouldn't it read that a person could earn ~20 mBTC per click?

Great, I got the partner list alphabetical for you tonight.

+1 TY... much easier to read!

Question though... some of my domains where I display ads are not showing up on the list... I am sharing a single iframe across several domains. Does that make a difference?

Does the list reset at payouts? I saw BitcoinWeekly.info in the list earlier, but it's not there now.

uh, wrong.

you might want to make sure your list is kept accurate so that page's header statement isn't lying.

BitcoinAdvertisers.com is not responsible to 3rd parties that chose to use or disuse our service, your complaint has been noted and that may be addressed in the near future however I will note that the proper place to submit support requests and get the fastest turn around is http://bitcoinadvertisers.com/support.php Thank you.

not complaining, just pointing out a fact (just as you love pointing out facts, andrew).

the fact is the subtitle on that page is incorrect.

your ads will not appear on payb.tc as stated on that page.

Why didn't you answer that when I sent you PM or support ticket?

It won't get in the appropriate zone by itself. I explained why it is like this.
Where can I find this "appropriate zone"?

Go to facebook.com
You'll see that facebook placed a giant bitcoinAdvertisers Ad on their homepage.
I think Google will do the same.

If you mean that Andrew paid Facebook for some advertising space for bitcoinadvertisers.com, that's understandable (although I have yet to see any) but I don't think that qualifies anyone as a "partner" or else I'd be a partner of Walmart for buying a gift card.

Someone may have put an ad on Facebook application. List shows always only the domain, even if the ad is on ex. mydomain.com/mycoolhomepage/  Smiley Anyway, new partner page is coming soon.

I checked your address and your CTR is way too high that could be indicating bad clicks.  When it gets down to the appropriate levels you will be paid.
What do you mean? That my website's visitors too often clicked your banner? I have not found any limits on your website!

That is correct, the only way to measure for bad or fraudulent clicks is by averaging the percentage of what a normal click through rate versus one with fraudulent clicks.  In order to protect advertisers investment we have to be aggressive with what we believe the acceptable click through rate is and if or when your traffic normalizes to what it is set to for the number of impressions expected you will get your payout.

High CTR not always indicates to the fraud, it can highly vary from site-to-site. There are plenty of other methods how to detect fraud.

Currently you are misleading customers promising "Currently you could earn 10.89 mBTC for one visitor" but telling nothing about CTR limits! It is really bad business practice!

Honestly, the best way to do it (in my opinion) is by a combination of total impressions and unique impressions.  Something like X(Unique) + Y(Total) = Payout, where X might be 0.01 BTC and Y might be 0.0001 BTC.  And of course, check for what browser is being used, etc, so bots aren't counted.

Going by CPC is pretty sketchy on both the publisher and management side.  The publisher might be tempted to click on his own links, or otherwise incentivise the clicks for other people, and the management side might be tempted to ban sites that appear to have a high CTR, when it very well could be legitimate traffic.

The CTR rate we use is private to prevent abuse.
If you would be a real company which must obey EU consumer protection laws, you would must to clearly specify all conditions on your front page (not just hiding in somewhere in the middle of ToS) and definitely declare exact CTR value, exceeding which customers will not receive payments. Otherwise it would be classified as customer's misleading! A non-Bitcoin company in these circumstances would receive a bunch of lawsuits and with 99.999% chance you would be ordered to pay all fund earned.

It is a big advantage of the Bitcoin economy that you can start any business and be away from state regulations, so I cannot demand anything from you. But I have chosen to make this issue public to let the other users decide to agree your conditions or not.

I agree with this. I think CPM is more honest in general and better for everybody. Consider the fact that some advertisers might get more impressions because they bid higher but aren't getting very many clicks because their ads aren't enticing. The publisher loses out because the ads aren't getting clicked. Plus, sometimes publishers like to click their own ads because they are genuinely interested, but they don't click because they don't want to look fraudulent.

That's one of the bad things about Google Adsense, is the publishers are always left wondering how many genuine clicks are being rejected by Google because Google thinks it looks fraudulent, all the while the advertiser is paying for the clicks as if they were real, so Google rakes it in and publishers get screwed.

Google never promise fixed CPC rate and then reject payments. They clearly state that earnings can vary and are not guaranteed. But your site does in opposite!

That's not true. Google refunds advertisers for the value paid for clicks that are found to be fraudulent.

An open-source script or something would be nice. Either way, ferreting out fraudulent clicks is WAY MORE resource intense than simply making things CPM. More efficiency means more savings for advertisers and more income for publishers.

Well, no advertising is a guarantee of new business but online advertising has inherently measurable metrics which advertisers can use to judge what is best for them.  I setup this system because I believe it is the best middle ground for all our partners to get the most value for using the service.  Smiley

Any chance of giving publishers and advertisers the option of CPM or CPC? It would be nice as a publisher to specify that I only accept CPM ads.

Sure perhaps in a future version we can do that.  The more people that ask for it the faster we can get to it.  Based on user demand the next release will have graphic banners for publishers who chose to allow those on their site.

Well, no, that's not true.  Google either pays you everything, or waits for a month, then informs you that the $100 you earned last month was due to fraudulent clicking activity, and you won't be paid.  They don't reject a certain number of clicks.  If they see fradulent clicking, then they reject ALL of the clicks, and all of your payments.

I've had it happen to three websites of mine, and have since forever sworn off of Google's Adsense.  They let you appeal the ban, but then decline your appeal 99% of the time.

I absolutely agree with you, but in this case BitcoinAdvertisers.com admin rejects legitimate clicks only at reason that the publisher has high CTR.

P.S. I suppose the owner just don't have enough skills to implement normal fraud detecting script and therefore rely on the CTR.

Pretty sure that's how most other sites do it too, but maybe you know more about it than I do?  I know Google has some fairly complex (obviously not working well) methods of detecting click fraud, but most small-time advertising sites just use CTR and statistics to figure out who is cheating and who is not.

I have implemented complex fraud detection algorithm on the CoinURL and it seems to work fine (I manually analyzed the logs and don't found any significant number of suspicious clicks). Of course it was not easy to implement and I need to periodically update filters, but it eliminates any disputes with publishers which emerged with the BitcoinAdvertisers.com. Relying solely on the CTR looks very primitive and if the admin wants to attract much more users, he must seriously work on the software.

I have decided to suspend your banners on the Daily Bitcoins. I hope other users would also evaluate features and conditions that BitcoinAdvertisers.com operator offers and make a correct choice!

P.S. I have requested a refund of remaining funds, but you have declined.

You got banned. True adsense style, but without the automated warning email lol
So can I ban all customers by clicking the fuck out of all the bitcoinadvertisers links with a few proxies? Grin

At least you can leave them without a payout if you click enough. Given that even the traffic stats for partners are public, the system can be easily exploited.
Totally agree.
I see no future for this service if the admin will not invest his time/money in the development, IMHO.

Most of development time is used for the new version, only necessary updates are done for the current site.  Smiley

You should quit this before you waste 6 months into this like the other ad networks  Wink Let me know if you have an affordable rate for marketing work as I am definitely interested in bringing you on for a few of my sites.

I am not in this game to make profits, but rather to provide good services to people, but yes you are right in that I need a partner, who knows how to talk to people. My logic is very strange when it comes to socializing. And most people take my words as being arrogant or similar, or so I've been told.

My logic is very strange when it comes to socializing. And most people take my words as being arrogant or similar, or so I've been told.

In my experience just being honest sounds blunt, arrogant, or hurtful to people but I get called arrogant and much worse when just being a nice guy.  Being more cerebral ("stuck in ones head") then average people most developers are a bit socially awkward (even the trendy nerdy ones I have know). Now you have 8-12 good looking services but you don't have a business plan wrapped around them and I can tell you have more time to think those things through and are not constrained by needing to make a profit (like I am) when making a service.   If I were you I would try to find someone in your strange country (i.e., if you live where poor fools are used to paying $75 an hour for web development it should be easy!) willing to invest into or volunteer for a business manager that understands online services where you can work on the tech things to your hearts content you will be on a better path to success.

I don't see what all the hubbub is about. So, farmvillefeed is putting up bitcoinadvertisers ads? That's nice.

I was hoping you'd unveiled version 2.0, with image ads. When's that coming?

My account accumulated 0.40 BTC but still no payment (the previous payment was 5444 min ago for 0.0495 BTC). I've also wrote to you via your support form yesterday about this but still got no reply.

You probably have high, by Andrew Bitcoiner's point of view, click-through rate. Therefore you will not receive payment.
BTW, I am in the same situation with missing payments for Daily Bitcoins.

Ohhhh shittyballs! We got image ads up and running!  Grin

Can't wait until you get the 160px X 600px tower ads up. I got a ton of space for them on my website. Lot's of traffic, too!

Thanks for allowing people to create the 120px X 600px. It's a size most people don't think about, but it's out there. I have a nice spot for it in my forum.

Keep up the good work!

Also, is nobody purchasing image ads?

If you fail to recall I will remind you that you terminated your agreement with us a long time ago and since I am not interested in resuming this partnership
By law, terminating a contact requires making a refund. Clause that you can simply terminate my account without giving money back is absolutely illegal!

You promised to pay about 11 mBTC per click on main page, but now you tell me that 372(!!!) clicks are worth just 0.0099 BTC. It is ridiculous!

and the second I don't even see evidence existed.
Code with this address had been posted on Daily Bitcoins for few weeks. Google caches periodically websites (and probably keeps all data, not just latest copy), therefore with decree of the court the Google can provide proof agaist you.

P.S. Exactly as before, I see no willing to solve the problem from your side.

is dynamically updated based on advertiser deposits, I have no control over what advertisers pay for ads and neither is it a CPC promise, the key word here is "could" not "promise".
0.0099 BTC per 372 clicks = 0.0000266 BTC per click = 0.0266 mBTC comparing to ~10 mBTC you have promoted. I agree that price fluctuates with the market, but not on 375 times difference (!!!). It is pure misleading of consumer, which is punishable in most countries.

you do not understand what dynamic means.
You are really crazy!
I regularly visit BitcoinAdvertisers and always see price about 10 mBTC. I have never seen amounts even less than 1 mBTC.

P.S. It is not worth for me to sue you due to high legal costs, but I will try to contact your hosting provider asking to terminate your account. I suppose he don't want to host a fraudster on his servers.

I am not interested in namecalling.

I got the usual response "your CTR is too high", which I *personally* don't get, but since I've never before meddled with ads, well, could be standard practise, whatever. No quantification of the acceptable CTR, but no accusation of fraud on my part, either.

PM'd him back, we'll see how that goes.

I really don't know whether or not all of these people have genuine gripes or not. I'm not taking sides, but I would like to aide in Andrew's defense at least a little bit.

For the time that I had BA word ads in my forum I did receive payment. Not only that, but I even clicked on the ad once just to make sure it worked and whether or not it popped up in a new tab or not. And I was not slapped with fraudulent CTR.

This matter has been discussed in PM.

Clicking the ads to test them or if there is genuine interest is fine.  We are more concerned with automated clicks or a pattern of unusual spikes which is easy to spot.

Future versions of the site will have graphs for all partners so that this can be seen more easily.

Is there any option for a publisher so that the statistics are not public?  I maybe am less concerned about revenues as a whole (determined from the bitcoin address in the ad code) being public, but more so the Impressions, Clicks, CTR, and RPM that shows in the "Partner Statistics".

 - http://bitcoinadvertisers.com/partnerstat.php?p=[bitcoin address used in publisher's ad code]

Without having an account, there's no easy way to protect this I suppose.  So to offer this would probably involve me associating an e-mail address and password, so that viewing the partner statistics would require the password.  (and the e-mail to be able to recover from a lost password situation).  And that probably adds complexity you were not looking towards having.  So I'm not sure what you could to do to restrict access to this statistics report.

well if not SCAM, its highly dubious to promise a money making monster, not paying up and hiding behind unpublished terms and rules as well as disregarding those rules when benefitting the proprietor.

Well you're unhappy, but you aint doin shit about it.

This is exactly the dickhead attitude towards customers that will drive people away.
Maybe hire someone sociable to do your support?

I clearly described my annoyance with your line of argument via PM.
I clearly described the double standard therein.
Spelt it out for you.

And then you bid me farewell with a sorry? That's pretty sad.

I am NOT saying you are running a scam, but you ARE doing everything you can to drive away your source of income - people that BUY ads and people that RUN ads. I used to be both - now I'm neither (well, I do run 10 or so to get my CTR lower). And don't you dare clear my account - if I come back in two months and my .X BTC isn't there, I'll be not as diplomatic.

Am I really the only one who is getting paid regularly at the moment?

Andrew really needs to stop treating publishers like dirt and start acting professionally. It's as if he's randomly allowing certain people to be paid while outright ignoring other people.

I got payed too.

unrelated:

on the partnerstat page, in the payment log, the displayed mBTC amount is wrong by 10x,  (1mBTC = 0.001 BTC)

http://www.bitcoinadvertisers.com/partnerstat.php?p=

also the number of payouts doesn't correspond with reality

Andrew, great service. One thing that bothers me is that there are folks that generate phony clicks. Got a click from bitcoindebit-dot-net, and decided to look - what the site is like. Here's what I saw. Obviously, nobody human visits this site. There's nothing in it. It just displays ads and someone clicks on them. Clearly scam.

UPDATE: the domain owner contacted me and apparently there is some actual traffic on the web site. Not clear who actually visits it, since there is no content, but oh well. It would be helpful if there could be some way to identify the sites with actual (potentially) interested visitor

lots of placeholder/unused domains have nothing more than advertisements, yet still get a lot of human traffic.

it's called 'parking'.

I'm having trouble getting an image ad started. I have confirmed the size is correct (461 x 60).  When I click to the next step it just opens a page and says ERROR.

So, I got the ad upload to work and made payment ... however, the ad does not appear to be running and nobody is reponding to the support ticket trying to verify that the upload worked.

I'm beginning to think that the links on here relating to Bitcoinadvertisers being a scam may be true, which would be very unfortunate.

If Andrew or anyone else from the company would respond it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, please return the 3 BTC payment.

Thanks,

Sierra

This site had the most potential of all advertising sites. But I have not been paid out in a long time. I do not believe it's a scam but I do believe there is some type of problem with the system. I am removing the ads from my site.
