regarding the price we have a nice slow upward trend..
i must admit I was thinking about selling all my stash and invest in other crypto because major growth hasn't happened in slr like it did in other markets, but decided to keep all my slr for the long run, still one of the best ideas out there IMO

I am thinking this is the best place to be for some massive gains incoming. This coin had been in the dumps for over a year. Starting back in 2014 along with recent news. Undervalued AF. Could seea jump to 7$- 13$ based on low amount of circulating coins and being on bittrex already. JACKPOT!

Most of the marketing schemes have apparently been aimed toward govt and other non-profit type organizations. I don't see how any of these marketing schemes would be considered "bad." Repetition is the key to infiltrating govt organizations with this idea and I believe their persistence will eventually pay-off. So if you're not an SLR supporter, then go ahead and sell all your coins. We don't mind. Because we are not chasing the typical crypto-day-trader investor who will sell their recently collected stash next week so they can chase the next short-lived coin hype.

The thing that bothers me atm about this big green candle is that someone is buying like crazy for no apparent reason - I couldn't find any major reason behind it and there is nothing here, nothing on 4chan or reddit, BTC is not dropping a lot and nothing is in the solarcoin.org site... Why is this "pump" happening? The guy ate a 100k slr "wall" at 0.00005200 like a biscuit, not to mention that he increased the price like 40% - the trading volume atm at Bittrex is around $2.5 million - nobody invests so much money without a reason lol And this is happening in random cyrcles almost every month, like something big is about to happen and nobody knows about it except the guy who is buying. The only 2 possibilities that come to my mind are that either he knows some inside information of something big happening in the next days/months or he just got too excited and decided to throw $1 million just like it was his pocket money... Anyway we will see what will happen - the increase of the price is always good, but that kind of boost in just couple of hours without something to explain it is crazy I even saw when the price went above 5200 satoshi or smth and I think the guy behind the boost set somekind of a buy wall - 75 000 solarcoins around 5000 satoshi - in just 5 seconds that order disappeared because someone dumped immediately... I'm telling u it was crazy watching all that action lol

Now there is no news and price goes up. Same thing happens in all other currencies. New wallet is in testing which provides some nice improvements over the old one, so this could be savvy investing based on the future. There are big plans laid out for the future after this update also such as the Copay integration which then leads to other things. A good time to buy while it is cheap.

I don't know why people want to find the reason for price rise. Good news and bad news are justification of price movement.
The price is rise when the demand surpass the supply. In my humble opinion, there are less people who wants to sell SLR at this low price.

The SolarCoin Foundation is registered in Delaware. But very decentralized with Dev's in Colorado, and Georgia.
ElectriCChain is registered in Andorra, and has a lot of support in Europe and the European Solar Industry. Some tech people in ElectriCChain are in Tokyo and the UK.
Solcrypto is registered in Hong-Kong and is working in Hong-Kong and Tokyo. Mainly focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Our claims have grown month on month this year in 2017. We are excited for more claims in 2018!

Overall, the Solarcoin-group slack is very decentralized and we have inputs from US, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Australia, NZ, Japan, Korea, India, all parts of Europe and now recently Nigeria and South Africa. Claims are in 51 countries now and that country list is growing each month.
Francois mentioned in a press-release recently that claims have hit 1% of global solar capacity. So only 999% to go over the next few years.

Hello, would it be possible to get some guidance on updating my wallet here? I have just fired up a PC from back in 2014 and I had a SolarCoin wallet on it with coin. It will not update or connect which i didn't suspect it would but does anyone have any suggestions on getting it updated and usable. I have already got a new wallet on my main PC but I will need to get it to update before the coins will transfer i am thinking.

The wallet software should be updated on both pc's. The old wallet software will not connect to the network. Make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat file, and or a backup of your private keys somewhere before any updates.

The old wallet has just been fired up yesterday after sitting in a closet turned off for almost 4 years, it syas out of sync on the wallet and the transactions. I did back it up, I also tried letting it recreate the BC folder except the wallet.dat but that just moved my coin to unconfirmed and still no connection. I moved the files back and no issue there. I tried to add some old nodes I found but that didn't help any. I tried to send my coin to the new wallet but that didnt work either its just sitting in the send. Not sure what to do from here?
