Hey guys,
I was wondering who do you think are the 10 most influential people dealing with Bitcoin ?
I'm trying to come up with a list for my blog to write about and I know I'm probably missing some key players.
Thanks

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a transaction fee.

I don't know exactly who the ten most influential are, but I bet you'll have no problem finding the ten most vocal.  Cheesy

So that I'm contributing to your thread, I nominate "Tony Gallippi" of BitPay. I think his business model has pushed adoption a great deal. Especially among traditional stores that want a simple and timid way into bitcoin.

Any such list should logically start with Satoshi Nakamoto, followed closely by Hal Finney and Roger Ver.

The Blockchain.info folk, bringing a secure easy to use wallet is an amazing accomplishment, plus all their business model of only dealing with bitcoin.

Seriously besides Andreas Antonopolous, these guys should be up there somehow(in no specific order): Satoshi Nakamoto, Marc Andreeson, Roger Ver, Nic Cary, The Winklevii, Charlie Shrem, Gavin Andresen, Amir Taaki, Erik Voorhees, Mark Karpeles, Hal Finney, Mike Hearn, Jeff Garzik, Michael Marquardt (theymos), Luke jr, Jed McCaleb, Richard Branson, Greg Maxwell, Con Kolivas, Stefan Molyneux, Wladimir J. van der Laan, Tony Gallippi

List goes on, I probably omitted some important people, but those lists probably include several that are in here.

Sure add him/her/them.  Without Satoshi, none of this is possible.  Just added real people that are well known in the community good or bad.

You could write a more substantive article by using categories: Programmers, entrepreneurs, investors, philosophical/ political/ activists, and behind the scenes or unsung guys. To stir the pot you could add most influential opponents.

Has anyone said Barry Silbert, Vitalik Buterin, and Daniel Larimer? The other names on this thread are European or American, what about Asia?

Bitcoin is sovereign. Are you?

Bobby Lee of BTC China?

Here are the speakers at the upcoming Bitcoin Expo in China this weekend, several are Asian:

Not familiar with a lot of them, but I'm sure they're all important to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
