I am looking to buy either a VIP or a Donator account. I will only need one account.

This will be used for my own personal purposes and will likely not be resold (nor to be used in any kind of commerce, except possibly a signature campaign).

I am not looking to buy any account other then a VIP/Donator account (it needs to have access to the donator forums).

PM me with offers, and we can discuss price privately.

Escrow is a must.

EDIT: I am wiling to pay a competitive price for your VIP/Donator account, however the current market for accounts will also be taken into consideration.

This gave me an early morning laugh  Cheesy

Why on earth will a donator sell his account after he donated plenty of bitcoins to get that status?

Just doesn't make sense.

you do realize that most VIP accounts got that status because they donated when bitcoin was worth a lot less then it is today? Most donators only gave ~a hundred dollars worth of bitcoin when they donated.

I know, but still, these people are not likely the kind that are in such need of money that they will sell their account.

And if they would, it would cost you several thousands of dollars...

Most people that sell their account simply do not want to use their account anymore. Just because they had a lot of bitcoin several years ago doesn't mean that they still have any of it.

There's a thread somewhere saying most donators ended up scamming people on the forum.

Is that your objective?

No that is not my objective. I want it to access the donator forum, and be able to have the prestige of having a VPI/donator account. Like I said I do not intend to engage in commerce (trading) with the account.

Unless you can link to the thread, I would say it does not exist.

Why would you want to access the donator forum when it's completely dead? And you'd be easier just trying to become a mod to get access to it.

Maybe to recoup some money? Donator status isn't worth much at all really and obviously isn't worth what they ended up paying for the account in today's fiat value.

I think it would likely be somewhat interesting to see old posts that donators posted years ago. The fact that it is dead likely means that it does not have a lot of useless spam in there.

From what I can tell you have spent a lot of time on this forum and only became a mod a few months ago. I am not sure I would be able to report enough posts that actually should be reported to become a mod.

+the fact that mods are always receiving a lot of "hate" by people when rules are enforced

+the fact that theymos would likely receive a lot of backlash if he made some that trades in accounts a mod (I can only imagine the uproar)

Unless you can link to the thread, I would say it does not exist.

I think he/she was referring to this

Quote
The list of VIP's that donated 50BTC to this forum reads almost like a "who's who" of bitcoin scammers. zhoutong, pirateat40, Graet,  imsaguy, TradeFortress, cryptoxchange..  Why dont you do your part, and refund Goat's 50BTC to Gurrty, and strip Goat of his VIP privileges?  At least it would be some small restitution to Gurrty,  it would show you do not want to be paid with stolen money and scammers can not buy protection from you with their stolen money, and if Goat wants to regain his VIP status, let him cough up the coins himself.

Oh, it looks like I missed the fact that there was a link there.

Regardless, the quote was what one person wrote, and does not appear to be the overall discussion of the thread. The post itself is not even factually accurate, it lists 6 people that have allegedly scammed out of 30 VIPs (I am not sure that all of them are even VIPs) and many more donators.

I would say the reason there are so many VIP/Donator scams is because they are people who had a lot a bitcoin so they donated a little bit (<$100 worth at the time) to the forum and went into what turned into a failed business. I would dispute the fact that they being a VIP made it easier for them to scam.

As I stated before I am looking for a VIP/donator account to get the perks of a VIP/Donator account and do not intend to engage in any kind of trading with it. Therefore any "trust" that would be gained because it is a donator/VIP would not apply to my situation.

About to send a PM, but this is a fair price unless the account is a legendary account or you are especially respected in the community. The price of bitcon when most people donated 50 BTC to become a VIP was much lower then it is today. Also you cannot get a refund on your donation so the "value" of your bitcoin that was used to become a VIP will be even less.

Bump.

I can pay a premium for your VIP/Donator account to be used for personal reasons.
