Bedroom i try to keep out of personally.  I am lucky with lots of space.   I like to keep them close together.  Depending on new miners I get will depend on how many rooms i use.   Planning on using winter to be able to use less cooling.  Already I am able to stop cooling as much at nights.

Garage or basement on a shelf no one can trip over.

If you live in a small apartment put it near a window, crack the window open a peep, and let it cool the miner naturally.  The heat and cooling should offset each other temperature wise in your living space.

I keep them in the rooms i am in the most, so my office or lounge. I heard someone had a heat stroke in the night when his bedroom got too hot from his miner and he suffered brain damage.... its on ED so i am unsure of authenticity.

the rooms with my miners usually stay about 5F warmer than the rest of the house. I am planning on running my mining rigs exhaust right into the homes air handlers intake this year.. If i do that with two rigs i may get a more on consistent temperature through the home.

Run a Bitcoin node.

I have some miners in my internal garage (ground floor / basement level) and some miners under the house (there is a convenient hatch that opens underneath the house accessible from the garage). The heat naturally rises up the stairwell next to the garage and helps warm up the top floor of the house - which is the main living area.

In winter, I actually save money on my gas bill, since we don't use any gas for heating (just cooking and hot water heating). Electricity bill is up, but that's because I have more miners than my heat requirements. Overall energy use is only a bit more than an average house of our size, according to our energy provider.

Run a Bitcoin node, support the network.
