If we're going to have to suffer government, anyways, we might as well nominate some Bitcoiners for city council

We work hard to promote Bitcoin adoption and the decentralization of society. You can support our efforts by donating BTC to 35wDNxFhDB6Ss8fgijUUpn2Yx6sggDgGqS

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Love that idea and look forward to following the discussion and plans Vancouver has to implement Bitcoin in their local economy.  We need someone who is going to represent the community and not their own interests like a typical politician.  Someone with some political knowledge but who isn't already tainted by bad politics would be our best bet, this is some positive news coming out of Vancouver IMO.  I hope other municipalities follow suit.
