guys lets face it con or not that was a good idea lets find something disaster-ful ((Real))  to donate toward and get some positive attention towards bitcoin not to wish for a disaster or anything but interested to know what you guys think

guess your new. well charity does not help bitcoin look good, especially if its just a gimmick where the people on the front line (actually at the rescue area) only see FIAT..

bitcoin would grow not through gimmicks of adverts. but by actually getting people to use it. so go speak to your local grocery store in your town. contact your local utility company, landlord etc. get others todo it to, as its far far far more effective than a gimmicky advert or a 5 minutes of fame donation.

many people know that stuff like oxfam and world visions donate a amb/chicken campains are greedy. you do know that for every $12.50 that is supposedly for buying a chicken it only costs 50c to actually produce one.

the reality is that in most villages in africa there is a farmer who breds chickens. and wat world vision does is give the farmer 50c and then picks up a chicken, walks 500paces to a neighbour and hands them a chicken so that they can start a chicken farm. the other $12 stays in the pockets of world vision.

if you want bitcoin to be great. atleast do it smart. DO NOT give it to the non profit corporations to convert to FIAT. instead find a african farmer and give him bitcoins for the amount of $12.50 and ask him to hand 25 chickens to his neighbours.

atleast the farmer is then getting 100% of the donation and the result helps more of his neighbours. DO NOT play the greedy FIAT game. then and only then would bitcoin be worth publicising for charity giving, when it is truly "giving" and not "grabbing"

I dont understand there is no way to donate without being greedy of some kind. or that it wont get the publicity it deserves. Isn't there enough bitcoiners to donate a significant amount to a cause???

there actually is a way to donate without greed.. its called dont donate via middlemen
