Hi guys,

I'm new here but not particularly new to BTC.

I've been investing for just under 6 months & have so far amassed 8.75 BTC, I bought most of my coins when the price was around £350 (GBP) , unsure what that is in dollars but I'm at a pretty bad loss currently.

We're down to around £247 (GBP) as we speak, do I continue to invest in BTC or just hold what I've got?

I'm in a pretty healthy situation where the money I've invested so far isn't crucial to me, I live pretty comfortably so experts.......do I stay on 8.75 BTC or buy more gradually as I've done so far?

I'm not interested in selling.

Thanks in advance.

the first and the most important is that you have invested money that you don't need and it is not crucial
you have a good quantity of btc,and it depends on your capacity of investment and in your previsions if you invest more or not
if you have many money and don't know what to do with it you may invest up to 10 btc
if you need the money or it is crucial for you, don't invest anything else, and hold it
you can also contract someone to have advise on trading if you want to minimize your losses of prices fluctuations

Question: "Do I continue to invest in BTC(...)"

Answer 1: Buy as much as you can! Price wasn't better from May 2014. People were waiting ~4/5 months for this chance to buy @ current price.

Answer 2: Don't sell your coins if you don't need to... sell only if you need the cash or buy some things with Bitcoins Smiley or HODL Smiley (#Hold)

Happy trading! Smiley

This is huge chance for a good profit. Soon the price will bounce back to $600. Remember my words Smiley

If you have faith in bitcoin keep buying, but if you don't or are unsure are about it's future just save what coins you have now and wait for the value to rise which I personally believe it will. There's no point selling now at a loss so just hold and don't buy any more.

For me, I say hold on for now.

Bitcoin inflated a lot because a lot of new audience started seeing bitcoin as an interesting new way of monetization and also a new currency of course. Well, as the hype toned down from a teenager's hype for a boyband type of hype, so did the price of bitcoin. Unless more and more businesses will invest in bitcoin then it will just be stuck at about 410$ for the next few months.

If you want you can get your hands on a few more, but just keep it at a few more.
Why not start a business and accept bitcoins, or invest the bitcoins you already have to a full-blown bitcoin business already?

While the price has dropped significantly, I am still fully confident and optimistic, especially after checking how many times the price had crashed and how many times people called bitcoin dead. Smiley

Satoshi has/had an account on here?

Yup, this is his account (account ID = 3) Smiley

Not at all. You don't need to be active on the forum to be a 'bitcoiner'. Some people have to desire no discuss or bicker about the coin online nor mingle with scammers and crapcoin kiddies. If you do then fine, but don't judge others to be less than you or not a 'bitcoiner' just because they're not active on an internet forum.

What are you talking about?

Where did I told anything like that??

Your quote: "but don't judge others to be less than you or not a 'bitcoiner' just because they're not active on an internet forum."

I never judge anyone. You are misunderstanding what I am writing.

PS. I am addicted to Bitcointalk and maybe this is the reason why I think that every Bitcoiner should open account as fast as possible soon after joining the World of Bitcoin Smiley  I really didn't wanted to be rude - I am always trying to be kind person, maybe some of my "jokes" are a bit sarcastic, that's why sometimes people might think that I was rude Smiley

@hilariousandco I was always respecting you and what you are saying. And yes indeed you are right, that you don't need a Bitcointalk account to be the greatest Bitcoiner Smiley I am sure you don't. Just why to not have one? Cheesy

Regards and have a nice day all of you!!!!!!

It's amazing what people think on here, and they have some good reasons behind it. But if you sell while a market is going down, while already at a loss, you only result in a bigger locked in loss. But, is if you think the price will go so very low, it's better to sell what you have now and buy up as close to the real low as possible.

Currently, I see still need limitations lifted in the Bitcoin arena. Like great easy to use and understand lite wallets, that are highly visible online and in whatever app store. Also blockchain sizes for those with full clients are getting crazy, and this could turn people immediately off to Bitcoin to start out. And the uncertain geo-political waters, make this an uncertain time for any real speculation. Best advice is to watch the herd mentality and best adjust to it.

If you are unsure, you don't have to buy now. Set money aside and buy with those when you feel that bitcoin price has started to recover. You would not have bought bitcoin at the lowest price, but you wouldn't be far off. Considering the potential gains, buying at $50 above the bottom price is nothing.

Hold it. I'm trying to acumulate more and more btc from signature campaigns here and saving them for the next price spike. Cheesy

Despite the price drop, just hold.

Look at the bigger picture of the function of bitcoin and what it offers vs paypal etc.

This is just many things, but this just my view. You already surpassed the average btc holder, they only have like 1 btc at most.

I never hit 5BTC I didn't start early enough, and things kept getting harder for my modest setup. So for the average person to build up 1BTC today, without directly buying any, that's just wow. Once you buy specialized bitcoin equipment, you are not overall average, but maybe average here. Bitcoin needs more hoarders at the current moment, so the best thing people can do is hold what they have, buy more, and gift people bitcoins(hopefully people that don't know enough yet).

Never invest more then you can lose.  Long term I see it going up, i believe in bitcoin.  But short term its been kinda rocky.  It's a good time to buy i think if holding long term.

I've got 9 BTC now but I just feel I got in too late.

Wish I'd known about BTC back in 2012, I'd be a millionaire now with what I've invested so far.

I am sure almost everyone here thought about that as well.
And for those entering bitcoin since 2012, they probably wish they have known bitcoin in 2010 lol. Tongue

Well, buying some bitcoin and putting it in a offline wallet or a paper wallet is the easiest way.

If you are in the US or Europe, you may use Coinbase. And if you are in other places, you may use Bitstamp and btc-e.
Or you can use localbitcoins if you want to do p2p trades.

I'm not interested in selling.

Thanks in advance.

If you're cool for the long term, I'd buy more on a strong trend break (daily or higher time frame) or otherwise try to load up in the $200s. For myself, I will hopefully play a bounce off the mid-$300s before then..... nothing set in stone of course. Smiley

Well 9 BTC would not have made you a millionaire ^laugh^

I work for wages, but I try to buy BTC with 10% of my monthly wages. I also wait until the price is really low, before I buy, to maximize my profits, when it's very high.

No but the 3000 GBP I've invested to get 9 BTC would have if I'd invested it 2 or 3 years ago like I said.

Duhh

If I have a deep pocket like you do, I would buy more bitcoin now at the current low price.
We have all seen what happened after the price dropped from $250 to $100 in early 2013 and after the price dropped from $16 to $10 in mid 2012.
