Nope. Everyone that mined got paid for the last 12 blocks. Shifts? Yes, nobody got paid for the last 12 shifts. Miners only get paid if the pool finds a block within the ~45 hr. pplns time frame. Chalk it up to bad luck.

When a block is found the last 10 shifts get paid. Sometimes we find
blocks quickly and a shift gets paid many times. Sometimes it takes a
long time to find a block and some shifts don't get paid at all.

This evens out over time.

If you mine 24/7 you won't notice it. Having 1% of the hashrate gets you
1% of the mined coins. Which shifts you got paid through doesn't really
matter. If you get paid 0.1 BTC for work you did in the morning and 0
BTC for your work in the evening, that is essentially the same as
getting 0.05 BTC for the morning and 0.05 BTC for the evening. The end
result is the same, you got 0.1 BTC.

If you are a part time miner you will notice some variance. If you mine
one hour per day, you could get very lucky or very unlucky with the
payout. In the future I hope to increase the size of the shifts to even
this out more for part time miners. For now the shifts need to be short
so it doesn't take too long from you do some work until it is fully
paid. We can change this if we are able to increase our percentage of
the global hashrate in the future.

well my question is why not store all shifts? Meaning pay that one  25 BTC divided by ALL the work done, not just by a select group of people who happened to mined during x amount of time.

Is it the lack of server/storage space?

Thats a proportional reward method, one of the first reward methods used. However it's not used any more as it is proven to be exploitable.

Quick question. Is there a fee for every withdrawal of coins or is there a threshold when it becomes free to withdraw?

Quick question. Is there a fee for every withdrawal of coins or is there a threshold when it becomes free to withdraw?

There are two ways to move coins out of your Bitminter account:

You can use auto cash out, under "my account" -> "overview" in the website menu. This will cash out every time your balance goes over the threshold and is free to use. Bitminter pays the transaction fees for you.

Or you can use "my account" -> "send coins" in the menu. There is a small fee, but the minimum amount is lower than the minimum amount required for the auto cash out threshold, so you can send tiny amounts this way. It's also a one-time thing and allows sending a specific amount instead of all the coins you have.

What's up with the website?  On live stats, difficulty keeps going to 1 and CDF to 99.99%.  It did this a little while ago and then corrected but now it is doing it again.

That's the second time he's come on and my score (although small) goes from 0.0170 to 0.0120. Not I'm
Not earning much anyway but that's quite a sizeable part of it.

Saw him on last week as well when we had that 4 day block, figured it was someone just renting hash to solve the block.

Don't worry about someone having a high hashrate. If they do some of the work then they get some of the coins. That's how it has to work. It doesn't mean they will get an unfair share or that you will lose any income.

I have come to Bitminter and have about 5TH/s right now.  I was wondering if anyone has done a study as to the most profitable pool between Bitminter and CKPool?

Aries, I have two S3's, one pointed at each pool. Basically because I started with Bitminter when I first got into mining using the brilliant client program DrHaribo had made and also because Kano and Ck pretty much made it possible for everyone to mine by creating cgminer.

Kano.is has more blocks per given time (at the moment) but due to the high pool hashrate I get a minimal sum from each one. Bitminter has a few blocks every so often and I get a better share but due to the gap between blocks it works out near enough the same per day.

That's just my findings though with my 940ghs/avg. Needless to say I wont be going to any other pools as I'm quite happy with both  Smiley

Other than Prepay Perk, are there any other Perks that add to profit?  Does Easy Mode produce a higher profit?

Easy mode allows you to set a higher number of work submits per minute.

It was added with variable difficulty because some users were worried about "high" difficulty. You don't really need it.
