FINALLY!!! let's hope we have a few nice green ones to make up for it lol

Holy Crap! Dude, we need like five green blocks for that one red. It was almost four times the actual difficulty.

A big thanks to VVulf1992 for finding that block. Hoping for some quick rounds now. Smiley

Is it time to look at the shift system again to stop/limit
pool hoping, this isnt a huge problem here now, but wait

No, that's why we are using PPLNS - it's safe from pool hopping.

More on pool hopping here: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5072/what-is-pool-hopping

Just a curiousity question, but how comes my s7 doesn't show a bestshare on its gui while its pointed here? it defaulted over to solo on ckpool and a bestshare appeared.

My miners never showed a best share when I mined here when I first started mining. When I switched to Kano the best shares showed up. Don't know why, however.

There's bugs in the bitmain fork of cgminer that causes many of their miners to not display a best share in the gui, but I couldn't explain why a best share would be reported on one pool but not another unless it's something germane to the pool code.

That's what I'm wondering. I would love to have a bestshare available somewhere on the pool or as a readout on the miner GUI.

On a different note. BRING ON THE GREENS!!!!

Thanks!

Yeah, now the halvening is here. It will be interesting to see if the difficulty will drop some.

I figured the drop would be bigger than it was, but now it's showing a more significant drop in hashrate leading up to the next difficulty change. I guess people were hanging on, hoping for another price spike.

No not really  Sad

It wasn't so long ago that we had a difficult block then two really easy ones in quick succession.

That 97.86% red one was worth almost 4 blocks and it does not help that we seem to get quite a few blocks around 80%. The 2 green blocks you are referencing are worth virtually nothing in comparison. Do not get me wrong, I was not deterred by the long block and I stayed on BitMinter, but it was still irritating.

That's the trouble that little run of a couple of easy blocks is ruined by the increase in long blocks we seem to be suffering. I just wonder if there is anything that could be done? Server restart or something?

I doubt it. That is the problem with luck. Sometimes you never catch a break and sometimes you do.

It certainly is. I've had to pool balance at nicehash aswell to try and get some income from my little miner. 2/3 pointed here and 1/3 hashpower pointed at nicehash. Our luck is really sucking. If I pointed all my hash at nicehash I would just break even each month. Need at least 4blocks a month here to do the same and things just aren't going that way lately  Sad

I have my S7-LN miners pointed here, but I recently pointed all of my S3 miners at p2pool which accounts for about 23% of my hashing power. In the last month, I have made more on my S3 miners at p2pool than all of my S7-LN miners here. What a bummer.

Just did the math again and on average the pool would need to get 8 blocks per month for it to be slightly more profitable than selling all my hash to nicehash. I fully appreciate the luck aspect but I just see more and more red filling the block list on the stats page  Cry

Oh and I fully appreciate that its no ones fault and this is a great pool to hash with, I just wish there was some better luck.
