Cryptocurrency Miners Turn to Exotic Cooling Systems as Competition Heats Up

Amid Singapore’s humid equatorial heat, a group of researchers and faculties at the island’s main technical education institute are sweating over an unconventional cooling solution – for litecoin miners.

The institute, known more for strait-laced vocational courses, has partnered with litecoin startup CloudMining.sg to develop a liquid immersion cooling system for the firm’s miners, in conjunction with materials science giant 3M.

It's crazy how technical "cooling" became! With the difficulty going up to 40 000 000 000 the miners need to get every bit out of their setup, to be profitable.

No wonder solo miners are pushed to the side. They cannot compete with that technology, nor can they afford such type of cooling.

Where will all this end?

The constantly difficulty increase pushes the miner to upgrade their mining rig to be more efficient. And the cheaper electricity  cost is paid more attention as well.
